As you know, BuddyTV visited the set of Supernatural and had the amazing opportunity to hang out with Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Jim Beaver. We had a blast meeting them. We got to ask questions about the season, about the pranks they like to pull on the crew behind the scenes and about themselves.

First, I wanted to thank all of you great fans out there for submitting your questions to ask these actors. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a lot of time to ask Jensen Ackles too many of your questions because he was in the middle of a grueling day of filming that went well into the wee hours of the night. Jensen is practically in every single scene in every episode, so we were actually really lucky to even get a few moments of his attention in between takes.

One of the fans questions that we picked was actually something I was curious about myself: what kind of TV shows and music does Jensen Ackles like? We all know that Dean Winchester likes classic rock, but Jensen likes classic rock too. Unlike Dean, however, Jensen also likes country music.

There is one glaring difference between Dean and Jensen, however, and it brings to mind the scene in this season’s premiere of Supernatural, “Lazarus Rising,” when Dean scolded Sam for “douching” up his beloved Metallicar while he was in Hell. The fact is, Jensen has an iPod, but we can all forgive him for that, can’t we?

Jensen also wants the Winchester brothers to go out in a blaze of glory like Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid. If you remember, Jared Padalecki said exactly the same thing. The funny thing is, we interviewed Jensen first, so Jared had no idea that his answer was exactly the same. It just goes to show you that these two know each other so well, and they really are almost like brothers.

By the way, Jensen said that he wanted a “blaze of glory.” To bring his answer back to the topic of music, I suggest that you all go and listen to the Bon Jovi song called “Blaze of Glory.” I think it is exactly the kind of song that both Dean Winchester and Jensen Ackles would like, and I think it evokes the feeling of Dean Winchester’s character perfectly.
