This can't be a fun night for the remaining six contestants on So You Think You Can Dance. After weeks of performing and surviving eliminations, two of the dancers will have to go home -- right before the finals. Will Melanie and Marko continue their domination into the final week? Could Caitlynn sneak a victory over Sasha at the last moment? Will Ricky or Tadd snag a finale berth?

We'll find out all of that tonight.

Who's going to make it to the finals? Who will go home? Well, according to the ever-reliable (except for when it's not) BuddyTV Readers' Poll, Ricky and Caitlynn should be worried. 45 percent of those voting thought that Ricky was the most likely dancer to go home, followed by 42 percent choosing Caitlynn. Tadd (8 percent) and Sasha (5 percent) were also chosen for elimination by a small number of readers.

Will it go that way? It will all rest on America's votes lining up with those on BuddyTV. So we'll see.

If you get bored during tonight's results announcements, may we suggest an ode to Cat Deeley and her lovely hair?

Also as part of tonight's entertainment, we have a performance by the ever-popular (except on American Idol) Pia Toscano. Meanwhile, over at the judges' table, Lil C will return to decide the dancers' fates.

But first we'll see dancing! Spectacle! Results! Here we go!

That's a very big rose. Unfortunately, the positioning of the spotlight means that it's a lot easier to see the rose than the dancers. This seems to be an odd mix of an English country dance and... something else. But the important part is the rose. The flying, giant rose.

Alas for those who just watch this thing for the results, we probably won't hear anything at all for awhile. They're just going by the votes (no voter decisions) this week, so they refuse to say anything until we get the final results. Sigh.

  • Sasha gets the first solo. It's very aggressive. And bendy. In a good way.
  • Caitlynn is next. It's a good dance, if you pay no attention to the music. The music doesn't really work with the dance.
  • Melanie starts out sleeping on the job (she can probably afford to). Then she gets up and gives a super-sad dance. Don't worry Melanie! You should be safe!
  • Tadd is hiding under the stage. Awwww... That boy really can't not use the stage as a prop, can he?
  • Marko is all about the spinning in his solo. There's a whole lot of spinning -- in every direction.
  • Ricky is going the dramatic route with big moves and bigger music. And a positively freaky ending!
Hey, we get to find out a finalist! Yay for not waiting until the end of the hour!

But we still have to wait a little while. In the meantime Kent Boyd and Lauren Froderman from last season have a Travis Wall routine. Just for fun. It's pretty darn good. Lauren looks a little like the rose from the opening number. That's some kiss there...

Also, the All-Stars for next week are... Lauren, Robert, Mark and Joshua. No last names. Sorry.

Anyway, RESULTS!

Melanie Moore is in the finals!

The other two girls will have to wait though, because it's time for the guys to get their RESULTS! Awwww... They came out in a conga line. Which was of course Tadd's idea.

Marko Germar is in the finals!

OK. They have 19 minutes to squeeze in Pia Toscano, the Bad Boys of Dance and at least two more commercial breaks. Oh, and the final results of the night. Get on with it So You Think You Can Dance!

I don't really know what Rock the Ballet is, but it features the Bad Boys of Dance. Who are now performing. I'm pretty sure one of them is not in fact a boy. But she may be bad. Hard to say.

Final RESULTS time for the girls now!

Sasha Mallory is in the finals!

Which means that Caitlynn Lawson has been eliminated!

I have to say, Caitlynn has an impressive ability to keep smiling even when you know she has to be awfully crushed. Good on her.

They're seriously squeezing Pia Toscano (and her new single, possibly called "This Time" or maybe something else -- I wasn't paying attention) in before the guys get their results? If either Tadd or Ricky has a heart attack before the end of the hour, I'm totally blaming Pia.

In the remaining seconds of the show, we finally get the final RESULTS for the guys.

Tadd Gadduang is in the finals!

Which means Ricky Jaime is the final elimination of the night!

We have our finalists: Melanie, Marko, Sasha and Tadd. No huge surprises this week -- maybe the finals will be different...

Oh, and next week's judges? Kenny Ortega and Katie Holmes. Why not?
