This week Smallville becomes a ‘Combat’ zone when Clark steps into an underground fighting contest to square off against a Phantom Zoner named ‘Titan’ played by WWE superstar Kane.  Its been a while since we’ve had a solid knock down drag out on Smallville, and with a ring veteran like Kane on the scene it can only be nothing short of awesome.  So the question is, how would Smallville‘s young man of steel fare in the squared circle?  Read on to find out.

Wizard Magazine caught up with Kane in a Q & A session (you can read the whole thing here) and asked Kane just that.  Would Tom Welling have what it takes to get into the WWE scene and be a contender?

“Well, I’ll tell you, during one of our fight scenes, Tom punched me right in the face by accident. Nothing happened, we kept on going. He knew he hit me and apologized, but I told him not to worry about it because I get hit a lot harder than that. I thought it was funny because he gave me a pretty decent shot. I don’t think Tom should try getting in a WWE ring” – Kane

So, the boy in flannel doesn’t have what it takes for Smackdown, but thankfully for him this is Smallvile and not Monday Night Raw.  In the episode, apparently, Clark does give Titan a heck of a beating, but Titan brings his ‘A’ game as well.  According to Kane’s comments, the Phantom Zoner doesn’t go down easy.

“Actually, Titan takes Clark Kent to the limit. From what they were telling me, he beats Clark Kent up like nobody ever has before. I’d say Titan had a good showing for himself.”

Clark has has some pretty huge fights, so saying Titan takes Clark for a ride like no one in Smallville history is saying a lot!   Now the big challenge is waiting for this weeks Smallville to hurry up and get here so we can judge for ourselves.
