Exclusive Video Interview: Erica Durance of 'Smallville' Answers Fan Questions
As reported earlier, when Smallville kicks off its eighth season tomorrow, big changes in the show are likely to occur. For one thing, Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk, who have been mainstays on the show since the beginning, are being replaced by Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman and Sam Witwer in the main cast. But someone who is sticking around for sure is Erica Durance, as the intrepid reporter Lois Lane.

Erica Durance is a very busy lady. When BuddyTV went up to Vancouver to visit the Smallville set, Erica was in the middle of a grueling shooting schedule that went way into the wee hours of the morning. The thing about Smallville is that there are many scenes that require special effects (for example, the many times when Clark runs at super speed) and these kinds of scenes are very difficult to shoot because they require the actors to do many different takes.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Still, Erica knows how much fans want to hear from her, so whenever she had a few free moments here or there, she welcomed me and my camera crew and gladly answered our questions.

Many thanks to all of you great Smallville fans out there who submitted questions to ask her. I wish we could have had the time to ask her more questions, but I decided on just two because of the limited time we had with her: one about whether we'll get to see her in more comedic scenes this season, and the other about a potential love triangle between Lois, Clark (Tom Welling) and Lana when Kristin Kreuk comes back to do her five episode wrap-up. But keep checking back here at BuddyTV; you'll get to see more from our chat with her when we publish another video interview with her in the coming weeks.

Please enjoy the video below. As always, you'll have a better viewing experience if you change your YouTube settings to “high quality.”

Meanwhile, the wait is almost over. Smallville's eighth season premiere, entitled “Odyssey,” begins tomorrow night at 8pm on the CW.
