With the 2014 Winter Olympics now over, our favorite NBC shows are starting to come back -- and that includes Saturday Night Live, which will be hosted by The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons this weekend. The musical guest is Beck.

Parsons is hosting the sketch comedy show for the very first time. (After all these years on BBT, it's hard to believe he's a newbie when it comes to SNL.) But with his comedic chops from being on the biggest sitcom on TV today, there's no need to worry if he's up to the task.

NBC has released a series of promos featuring the actor and SNL cast member Bobby Moynihan, who's under the impression that The Big Bang Theory uses a laugh track in each episode. But Parsons quickly corrects him and says they have a live studio audience. Then he proceeds to use the laugh track against Bobby by making fun of him. (Jim's reactions are hilarious here.)

And it's not just the laugh track that Bobby is ignorant about. He keeps using the word 'Bazinga' (made famous on The Big Bang Theory) in the wrong context. Again, Parsons has to correct him, saying, "You're supposed to say that after some kind of prank." But he still doesn't get it right.

Since this is Jim Parsons' first time on SNL, Bobby is also able to con him into forking over $50 for an elevator pass. It turns out to be a prank ("SNL freshman!" Bobby yells out). But the joke comes back to bite him. Find out why in the video below.

And both men claim they medaled at the Olympics in a non-ice division of ice dancing, and proceed to show off their skills. You can watch all of these and even more promos right here, and keep watching until the end to see Parsons break character and laugh.

Are you excited for Jim Parsons to host SNL for the first time? Do you think there will be any Big Bang Theory-related sketches? And wouldn't it be cool if one of his co-stars made a cameo appearance?

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:35pm on NBC.
