It's a day of nostalgia across the Internet as word spread that the improv comedy show Whose Line is it Anyway? is being revived with the original cast -- minus one.

Plus, late night host Jimmy Kimmel may host the Oscars next year. This comes on the heels of Seth MacFarlane being hammered for some of his jokes as well as a certain musical number he did during this year's telecast. And in casting news, another actor from Downton Abbey will not be returning for season 4, Marg Helgenberger and Audra McDonald will both be starring in pilots, and the prince in The CW's adaptation of The Selection has been cast.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Downton Abbey: Siobhan Finneran Not Returning for Season 4

The Wenatchee World mentioned in a profile of Ryan Stiles that he'd be heading to Los Angeles in April to begin filming a new season of Whose Line. Then today, his fellow castmate Colin Mochrie tweeted, "Oh, by the way, Whose Line is coming back. More details later."

And now it's been officially announced that the revival will air this summer on The CW. The regulars we know and love are returning, not just Stiles and Mochrie, but Wayne Brady as well. But Drew Carey will not be the host this time around. Instead, comedian Aisha Tyler, currently on CBS' The Talk, will serve as host. A rep for Carey told EW that he wasn't even contacted.

According to the press release, "Ryan Stiles, Wayne Brady and Colin Mochrie, who along with a special guest each episode, must put their comedic skills to the test through a series of spontaneous improve games. Prompted only by random ideas supplied by the studio audience and host Aisha Tyler, our four performers must use the little information they have and their wild imaginations to depict different characters and an array of scenes, as well as perform songs. After each round of improvisation, Aisha will dole out points to our four performers and declare a winner at the end of every episode."

Whose Line is it Anyway? is based on a British improv series. The American version originally ran from 1998-2004, with unaired episodes running from 2005-2007. ABC aired a similar show called Trust Us with Your Life last summer, but it was pulled from their lineup after poor ratings. Let's hope the same doesn't happen this time around.
