Chelsea Korka’s decision to try out for Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll was, in her own words, “spur of the moment and completely spontaneous.”

While her impetuous decision might not have gotten her to the top spot in the show, she did win over a lot of fans and opened up a whole new world of career opportunities that might not have otherwise come her way.

For one, while she didn’t win the chance to perform permanently with the Pussycat Dolls, she did recently appear onstage with a current member of the group. For another, she is also teaming up with Robin Antin on a whole new girl group.

Earlier this month, Chelsea performed at the Pussycat Dolls Lounge inside Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas in a show headlined by Melody Thornton.

But there’s another Robin Antin creation that Chelsea will be working on, and this one could be for the long-term. She’s working with “The Paradiso Girls,” and she recently updated her fans with regard to what this group is.

She wrote, “I have joined Robin Antin’s new girl group ‘The Paradiso Girls.’ They are a European pop group and I am the only American in it. There are 5 of us. 1 is from France, 3 are from England, and then there is me! The girls have been together even before [Pussycat Dolls Present: The] Search for the Next Doll, but Robin asked me to join and I agreed. There is a lot of singing and tons of dancing. I’m sure you will love it….hopefully. We are working with great producers such as Fernando Garibay, dream, tricky, and Will-I-Am. I am still working on my solo stuff and so much more.”

Grainy YouTube footage of a rehearsal, apparently shot before Chelsea’s addition, features the group singing an electro-pop song that lifts its melody from Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen. The footage also appears to feature a Mariela look-alike, and there are also more than the five girls Chelsea references. Whether Mariela was also briefly involved, or merely has a European doppelganger is unclear.

The group is listed as an artist on Interscope Records, the same label that is releasing Nicole Scherzinger’s album in November, but no additional information regarding the group is available yet. In the meantime, Chelsea’s fans can still spot her making the occasional appearance at CW Network events, with Robin Antin and other girls from Pussycat Dolls Present as everyone gears up for the second season.
