'Prison Break' Cast & Crew Do Charity Work While Filming

Robert Knepper stars in FOX's Prison BreakThe cast and crew of FOX's Prison Break are busy filming the last remaining script of the season in Dallas, Texas, but this has not stopped them from doing some charitable work on the side.

According to The Dallas Morning News, the cast and crew associated with the hit drama series took the time to round up some toys in order to give to young cancer patients at the city's Children's Medical Center.

The toy drive was organized by Renee Brown, wife of Prison Break producer Garry Brown.  This is the second year that Renee, a cancer survivor herself, has set up the toy drive.

"Everybody on the show was very generous," Renee told The Dallas Morning News.  "There were five bicycles.  Someone gave $500 for DVDs to be shown in the infusion room while kids are getting treatment."

The toys were distributed to the kids on Monday, December 3.  Prison Break star Robert Knepper, who portrays the terribly villainous T-Bag on the show, proved that he is a far cry from his character when he joined show intern Melissa Brown, daughter of Renee and Garry, in handing out the toys to the children.

Renee informed The Dallas Morning News of the possibility of another toy drop happening this month.  She also said that she has already tapped Amaury Nolasco, who plays Fernando Sucre on the series, to distribute a new batch of toys.

By the end of this week, production on Prison Break will shut down, as the show has run out of scripts to film due to the ongoing writers' strike.  The show is currently on hiatus.  The third season is expected to resume airing on January 14.

The last aired Prison Break episode, "Bang and Burn," ended with a cliffhanger, with Michael (Wentworth Miller) being escorted out of SONA to be brought to an undisclosed location.
