High School Musical

If anyone should be able to understand the pressures of being a young teen star in the spotlight, it's Jessica Alba.  After several television appearances, she got her big break at the age of 19 on the series, Dark Angel.  Yet, Alba has managed to maintain a quiet life and stay out of the tabloids for the most part.  She grew from a teenager to a young woman with class and dignity.  However, just because she became famous as a teen doesn't mean she has any patience for today's teen stars.  In her latest interview with Elle magazine, Alba spoke her mind on every subject from motherhood to her career choices and even to High School Musical star Zac Efron!

One might wonder why Alba would have anything to say at all about Efron.  Last year, the two received the same honor at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards for Choice Female and Male Hottie.  She wasn't thrilled about the award in the first place, hating that she is praised more for her looks than her acting ability.  To be fair then, she probably shouldn't choose projects like Good Luck Chuck.  According to Elle, she would pose for pictures happily at the ceremony but the minutes the cameras were off, she looked like she'd rather be anywhere else.

When asked about what it was like to meet Efron, she couldn't hide her true feelings.  “He looks like a child with a lot of makeup. I was like, 'My God, you're just a little kid," she commented.  Not that Alba is very old herself.  The movie star is only 27 years old but says, "I'm feeling old, yes…27 was when Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, and Jim Morrison all died."

This comment from Alba comes on the heels of rumors that Efron's on again, off again girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens called him a sissy and a little girl.  It seems that there's more than one person who wants to see Efron spend a little less time in the bathroom and little more time being a man's man.
