Even though Ashley Tisdale hasn’t let go of High School Musical completely, the actress is still getting role after role as she progresses in her career. These days, she’s been busy promoting her new show Hellcats on the CW. She also has a new movie coming out soon, not to mention the Sharpay spin-off for Disney.

Ashley Tisdale talked to MTV News during the network’s presentation and gave out details regarding her work on Hellcats. She explained her role saying, “She’s the crazy one. She’s a flyer.”

The 24-year-old went on: “I play Savannah Monroe. She’s the captain of the cheerleaders and Marti, played by Aly Michalka, has lost her scholarship. So she has to join cheerleaders. And it’s a lot of fun. It’s a drama, but it still has the fun energy. It’s very fierce.”

Aside from that project, Ashley Tisdale also has a new film lined up. Actor Jason Fuchs talked to the New York Post recently and revealed that he was working with the High School Musical star on a movie.

“It’s called The Last First Time and we’ll be shooting in the fall with Ashley Tisdale. I’m a big Tisdale fan,” he said.

“It’s an apocalyptic romantic comedy. I play a college freshman who is still a virgin and he discovers that the world is going to be destroyed by a meteor in 48 hours. So I decide to take advantage of that and hook up with a girl I’ve had a crush on since 6th grade, played by Ashley. It goes very badly.”

On the other hand, things seem to be going well for the star, especially with Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure coming up. “She’s still Sharpay, but she’s now the lead of the movie,” Tisdale told OK! Magazine.

“You used to love to hate her, but now you have to fall in love with her. You get to see why she is the way she is, you see her in a different light. She’s not in college, but she’s supposed to be. She’s in New York City fulfilling her dreams on Broadway.”
