Miley Cyrus has been plagued with bad press over her recent Vanity Fair photo shoot. The 15 year old star was shot by celebrity photographer Annie Liebowitz without her shirt on. She was covered in a blanket but showed her bare back. Cyrus, at the time, felt that it was an artistic shot but once the magazine hit stands, she changed her tune, apologizing to her fans and saying that she was embarrassed. She stayed out of the public for a few days, waiting for things to blow over. At one press event, she quickly thanked her fans for their support. Just as it seems that everyone has moved on, Hugh Hefner brings our attention back to Miley and her sex appeal.

Hefner offered Cyrus a spot in Playboy magazine the minute that the Hannah Montana star turns 18 and is legal. The 82 year old said that Cyrus is “a very pretty lady”. Hefner also commented on Miley’s recent Vanity Fair photo shoot, feeling that everyone blew it way out of proportion. “I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality,” he told Extra.

It would be hard to picture Cyrus actually posing for the men’s magazine in 2010, when she turns 18. Her empire is said to be worth $1 billion dollars so she certainly wouldn’t do it for the money. Though the star has shown a little skin in her recent photos, it would be pretty shocking to see her bare it all in Playboy. Hefner, most likely, is aware of that and is just using the recent events in Miley’s life as a way to get some interviews and promote Playboy. Though, in some way, she may appreciate the offer, this is one photo shoot that will never happen.
