Here's some real life gossip about
Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford: the toothsome hunk was arrested early this morning in his hometown of Plano, Texas for possession of marijuana.
Crawford and a male friend were busted outside of Ringo's Pub in Plano just after midnight. Much more embarrassing than being arrested for pot, the two were supposedly chilling in a 2003 Nissan (apparently
Gossip Girl doesn't pay as well as I imagined) when they were busted. Reports on the amount of marijuana that Crawford had vary.
TMZ reports that Crawford was arrested for "possession of marijuana under two ounces" in the form of an unlit joint, while
E! Online
reports Crawford was arrested for possession of two ounces of
marijuana. Either that was the world's biggest joint, or someone has
their facts wrong.
The
Gossip Girl hunk was booked on misdemeanor possession, but bailed
himself out of jail just after 1am. The maximum sentence for
misdemeanor pot possession in Texas is 180 days in jail and a $2,000
fine. Even if he does get the maximum sentence (which he won't),
Crawford needn't worry - as his mug shot proves he even looks hot in
prison jumpsuit orange.
