With less than a week until the Gleeks get zombie-fied and hit the football field for their big post-Super Bowl episode, the most anticipated song of the hour, a “Thriller/Heads Will Roll” mashup, is now available for your undead enjoyment. Grab your headphones and take a listen below.

For comparison’s sake, here are the two original tracks, courtesy of the Prince of Pop and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. (For “Thriller”: The song starts around the 4:30 mark, if you don’t want to sit through the exposition of MJ being a movie-going creep.)

I have to say that I miss those creepy keyboards from the original “Heads Will Roll,” not to mention Karen O’s singularly haunting vocals. And, frankly, mashing anything with “Thriller” is a watering-down of an iconic masterpiece, and is thus (in my mind, anyway) slightly unnerving and annoying, no matter how well it’s done. But the songs actually mash quite nicely, considering, both thematically and musically. (Couldn’t you just listen to me dissect this ALL DAY LONG? No? Alright. Your turn!)
