The wait has been long, but Game of Thrones season 7 is coming. HBO has released the first photos from the new batch of seven episodes in the show’s penultimate season, and Daenerys appears to be back home.
In the season 6 finale, Daenerys Targaryen and her top advisors and soldiers finally crossed the Narrow Sea to return home and take back the Iron Throne. These new photos show Dany, as well as Tyrion Lannister, Varys, Missandei and Grey Worm, back on land. But where are they?

If I had to guess, I’d say they’ve landed at Dragonstone. The island and castle was the long-time home to House Targaryen, but after Robert’s Rebellion it became Stannis Baratheon’s home. Of course Stannis isn’t using it anymore, so it could be a pretty easy spot for Dany’s army to take over and use as her home base while planning an attack on King’s Landing.
Other photos reveal Queen Cersei on the Iron Throne, the Stark children (Jon, Sansa, Arya and Bran) still on their own adventures and hope for those of you ‘shipping Tormund and Brienne.
Game of Thrones season 7 premieres Sunday, July 16 at 9/8c on HBO.
