Apart from being known as a notorious rap artist, Flavor Flav became a popular reality television icon as the star of the VH-1 Flavor of Love series. In the style of the reality dating show The Bachelor, he mingled among various women and sparked flames with Hoopz in the first season and Deelishis on the second season. He uniquely established himself on the television loop with his comedic sunglasses, Viking helmet, large clocks as necklaces and flamboyant hip hop fashion.

After two seasons of Flavor of Love, Flavor Flav got a deal on VH-1 with comedian-actress Mo’Nique in a form a new reality show entitled Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School. Hosted by Mo’Nique, the show featured Flavor of Love contestants from season one and two attending an academy school for etiquette and beauty. He also worked as an announcer on the VH-1 Big in '06 Awards. Apart from the TV show, he released a hip-hop album entitled Flavor Flav, his first solo-album and only non-Public Enemy album he made.

Flavor Flav is currently filming his new movie Horrorween 3D, where he will be appearing as himself. Directed by Joe Estevez and written by Ed Meyer and Mike Muscat, the comedy-horror movie is scheduled for release this year. Other cast members include Chuck Lamb as Sal Dementia Sr., Ed Meyer as Chindows CEO, Hunter Meyer as Young Salvadore, Mike Muscat as Uncle Ralph, Billy Daily as GrandPa, and Hunter Gomez as Carmine.
