After a trip to Utah, we’re now headed to Germany.  Flash Forward really is targeting the global scale of the blackout.  On tonight’s new episode titled “137 Sekunden,” agents Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) and Janis Hawk (Christine Woods) meet another informant.

The LA FBI receives another hint regarding the flash-forwards, and this time it’s from an imprisoned Nazi.  The guy claims he knows why it all happened for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, or as the title says “137 sekunden.”

Meanwhile, if you’re wondering why Demetri (John Cho) isn’t with his partner, it’s because he’s also following an anonymous tip from the last episode.  He was told that he was going to be dead by March 15, 2010, making him believe that his lack of a flash-forward is true.

There’s been speculation that the date signifies the Ides of March, the day Julius Caesar was assassinated.  If that’s the case, then there may just be a mutiny involved in the death of Demetri, or even betrayal.

Also on “137 Sekunden,” Aaron (Brian F. O’Byrne) is convinced by his own flash-forward that his daughter isn’t dead.  He asks Mark to help him get the approval to have his daughter’s body exhumed and test the DNA once again.  Once he confirms the identity of the remains, he may just find out if he’s daughter is alive and we get another clue to the flash-forwards.

Here’s a couple of promo clips from the new Flash Forward episode.  What’s intriguing about the first one is the presence of a book titled “Birds.”  Now, the only works of literature I remember with that word in it belong to Aristophanes, which is a play, and a film by Hitchcock.  Maybe this book is just about birds in general, but seeing how this show has ties to Lost makes one think otherwise.

I’m also slightly bothered by the image of goats in the clip, especially since the prisoner mentions he’s seen the future in those seconds.  Anyway, see another sneak peek of “137 Sekunden” below.  And what is with the toilet humor?

Don’t miss the new episode of Flash Forward tonight, Thursday at 8pm on ABC.
