Passions stars.
Eric Martsolf is best known for his role as Ethan Winthrop in the NBC soap opera
Passions from 2002 to 2008. Voted favorite actor on
Passions for more than 80 weeks in a row in Soap Opera Digest, Martsolf has earned himself a solid fan base that will hopefully follow him as he plays
Days of our Lives' new Brady Black. This role was previously portrayed by Emmy-nominated actor
Kyle Lowder, who presently appears as Rick Forrester on CBS's
The Bold and the Beautiful.
"Eric Martsolf will be taking on the role of Brady Black and will return to Salem to settle unresolved issues with Chloe," a show representative said of why
Days of our Lives is bringing back Brady Black after a three-year break.
Martsolf's first airdate on
Days of our Live has yet to be confirmed, though it has been hinted that he'll be appearing on the soap in mid-November.
Galen Gering, on the other hand, is known for his role as Officer Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald on
Passions. Named one of
People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" in 2000, he will be joining
Days of our Lives as an FBI Agent who comes to Salem working on a special case."
Gering is slated to make his first appearance on
Days of our Lives at the end of October.
