Bones is back. After a summer that saw the show’s popularity grow thanks to reruns on TNT and left fans waiting to see how the team at the Jeffersonian handles Zack’s arrest, Bones returns tonight with a special two-hour premiere at 8pm on FOX.

BuddyTV spoke to the lovely Michaela Conlin, who plays the sweet Angela Montenegro on Bones, about the new season. Conlin talked about the premiere set in London, when fans will finally get to see Angela’s mysterious husband, plus some other fun surprises Bones has on tap this seaso

-While tonight’s season premiere puts Bones (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) in London to solve a case, the rest of the team will stay at the Jeffersonian. However, Angela will be dealing with her own issues because her long-lost husband will finally make an appearance.

-The husband storyline was one of the many casualties of the strike. Season 2 of Bones ended with the revelation that Angela is still technically married, and while the early parts of season 3 dealt with trying to track him down, the strike forced the writers to put that plot on the backburner.

-If you thought that husband was the only thing standing in the way of Angela and Hodgins (TJ Thyne) being happy, think again. This season we’ll be seeing more of Angela’s exes, including at least one ex-girlfriend. That will shock her friends, and probably send Hodgins into a million different directions, from excitement to fear.

-While the revelation that Zack was the Gormogon’s apprentice will be felt throughout the season, Conlin assured us that Zack will be back from time to time to help out with cases. Also, if you think Eric Millegan is irreplaceable, so do the writers. Rather than add in a new cast member to fill the role, a series of temporary assistants will take over during the season.

The Bones season 4 premiere, “Yanks in the UK,” premieres tonight at 8pm on FOX.
