“The Man in the Mud” follows Booth and Brennan as they are called into a crime scene where they investigate the body of Tripp Goddard, a sexy motorcycle racer who was also elected one of the top ten sexiest bachelors, who had been murdered about two weeks ago after a race. The corpse was discovered at Homestead Natural Hot Springs by a couple on a date while taking a dip in a spring filled with mud.
This episode also introduces Sweets' girlfriend named April Pesa, who will surface the canvas as she attends a ceramics class with Sweets.
For those who are not familiar,
Bones is series very loosely based on the works of real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs, who is also a producer on the show. The police procedural drama focuses on an FBI case file concerning the mystery behind the human remains brought to Dr. Brennan's forensic anthropology team at the Jeffersonian Institution by FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth.
