We're a little over two months away from the premiere of the final season of Battlestar Galactica
, which will begin airing on the Sci Fi Channel Friday, April 4 at 10pm. To tide us over until then, a new video posted online offers interviews with the cast where they drop hints about what viewers can expect as Galactica
nears its end. Season 4 of the critically lauded sci-fi series will focus on the mysterious identity of the final Cylon model, and may be the darkest, deadliest season of BSG
"The fifth has gotta be good," Katee Sackhoff
, who plays Starbuck, said about the identity of the final Cylon. "I heard a rumor, and I hope to God it's not true, because I think it's a really, really sh***y way out."
She doesn't elaborate on what that controversial rumor was, but the video makes it obvious that the entire cast is buzzing about the reveal of the final Cylon. Alessandro Juliani
, who is better known as Lt. Gaeta, promises, "The reveal of who the final Cylon is will be the big scoop of season 4."
Of course, the one person who has long been speculated to be the final Cylon is Starbuck. After returning from being presumed dead last year, Katee Sackhoff promises that her character "is not the same person that she was when she left when she came back. We know that Lee [Adama] saw her die, and I've been told since day one that I'm not a Cylon. With that card being completely gone, you try to figure out what else you could be."
One of the things that has driven the crew of the Battlestar Galactica since the start of the series is the search for Earth. Edward James Olmos
, who plays William Adama, believes that the characters will definitely arrive at their destination. "Yes, I think they will find Earth," he said. "I think the real question is, what year is it? It could be 10,000 B.C. Could be 2020."
Aside from the cast interviews, the video also weaves in exclusive clips from the fourth season. The cast promises a dark roller coaster ride where questions will be answered, anybody could die, and everything comes to a stunning conclusion. April 4 truly can't arrive soon enough if you're a Battlestar Galactica
