The nominations have been announced for the American Country Awards, and American Idol is once again represented big time. Also in today’s Roundup, Kelly Clarkson has released a lyric video for her Christmas single, “Underneath the Tree.” And the music video for Daughtry’s “Waiting for Superman” is out now.

Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood Nominated for American Country Awards

Taylor Swift may be leading the pack when it comes to the American Country Awards nominations this year, but around here we want to know about our favorite Idol singers. Both Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are up for Artist of the Year: Female, competing against Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift. Kelly also has a nod for Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration, for “Don’t Rush” featuring Vince Gill. And Carrie is also nominated for Single of the Year: Female for “Two Black Cadillacs,” Touring Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year: Female for “Blown Away.”

Scotty McCreery is up for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, though that’ll be a tough category for him to win since Hunter Hayes is also up for that award. Kellie Pickler is competing against Carrie for Music Video of the Year: Female (“Someone Somewhere Tonight”). And season 9 second runner-up Casey James even received a nomination, for Music Video of the Year: New Artist (“Crying on a Suitcase”).

On the judges’ side, Keith Urban is in the mix for Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration for the Tim McGraw song “Highway Don’t Care” that features both him and Taylor Swift. That song is also up for Music Video of the Year: Group or Collaboration and Song of the Year.

The Voice has been represented as well — and finally, one of their own winners is receiving a nomination. Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope got a nod for New Artist of the Year. Coach Blake Shelton received seven nominations, including Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year: Male, Album of the Year, Single of the Year: Male, Single of the Year: Vocal Collaboration, Great American Country Music Video of the Year and Music Video of the Year: Male.

You can vote for all your favorites until Tuesday, November 12 at 11:59pm. Voting for the Artist of the Year will stay open longer, until Saturday December 7. The 2013 American Country Awards, hosted by Trace Adkins and Danica Patrick, airs Tuesday, December 10 at 8pm on FOX.

Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree” Lyric Video

Kelly Clarkson has two reasons to celebrate today. First, she received two American Country Award nominations. And second, her Christmas album Wrapped in Red is now available to buy in stores and download online. She recently released the first single off the holiday record, and now she has come out with a lyric video for “Underneath the Tree.”

Lyric videos used to be very basis, with just the lyrics, but they’re getting more and more creative. This one is filled to the brim with Christmas cheer, animation-style. It starts off with a little girl opening up a present, and before you know it, there’s snow, ginger bread men and Christmas trees, oh my! And as for the song itself, I’m loving it more and more each time I listen to it.

Daughtry’s “Waiting for Superman” Music Video

The music video has been released for the first single off of Daughtry’s upcoming album Baptized, out November 19. In “Waiting for Superman,” a regular, everyday guy is trying to save people who are in trouble, but he doesn’t seem to be receiving any sort of gratitude for it. It’s a well-made video for a fantastic song.
