There isn’t a full Moon over Hollywood, is there? Because there’s a lot of crazy making the TV rounds lately. And I’m not sure if anything else — ignoring the obvious explanations of drugs and insanity — can fully explain what’s been coming out from Charlie Sheen, Tracy Morgan and Steven Tyler.

Could Charlie Sheen Die Laughing?

According to a friend of the death-wishing actor, Charlie Sheen’s emergency trip to the hospital yesterday was brought on by an excess of joy. Steve Broderson, apparently a friend, told Extra that Sheen had suffered a hernia injury. While laughing.

Is that even possible? Probably. A quick check of WebMD reveals that hernias can be caused by “anything that causes an increase in pressure in the abdomen.” Like laughing.

Charlie Sheen’s friend had nothing to say about the all-too-likely possibility that the laughter had been encouraged by the joys of cocaine and porn stars.

Tracy Morgan and Sarah Palin, sitting in a tree…

Tracy Morgan decided last night to drop in on Inside the NBA for a chat. This may not have been the best idea.

When asked by Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley, “Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?” Morgan took the already inappropriate question to the next level of crazy:

“Yo, let me tell you something about Sarah Palin, man. She’s good masturbation material. The glasses and all that. Great masturbation material!”

Watch the crazy here:

TNT has already apologized for this. Meanwhile, the clip is going viral. Crazy wins.

Steven Tyler at His Eloquent Best

We’re only a few episodes into this season of American Idol, but Steven Tyler has already emerged as the front-runner when it comes to absurd, yet somehow eloquent, responses to the singers.

Much like picking a future pop star out of the seething masses of American humanity, it’s hard to find a single quote that best sums up Steven Tyler’s true insanity. But this line from the Milwaukee auditions might come close:

“Well hellfire, save matches, f*ck a duck and see what hatches!”
Possible translation: “That was very good.”

Need to hear it for yourself? Check out Scotty McCreery’s audition:

Considering that we’re only in the auditions phase of American Idol, the crazy is likely to just keep going.
