If you've been eagerly anticipating the new season of American Horror Story
, then you're in luck because FX has announced when the Ryan Murphy-created anthology drama is returning this fall.
American Horror Story: Hotel is available on Amazon Prime.
Season 4, subtitled Freak Show, will premiere on Wednesday, October 8 at 10pm.
But that's not the only AHS
news this week. Murphy announced a new cast member via Twitter. He tweeted a picture
of series regular Jessica Lange and the new cast member, with the caption: "Jessica and our newest cast member Jyoti Amge ... the world's smallest woman."
Amge, who is from Nagpur, India, is indeed the world's smallest woman, as confirmed by the Guiness Book of World Records on her 18th birthday on December 16, 2011. She is 2 feet, 6 inches. This height is due to a condition she has called achondroplasia, which is a form of dwarfism.
She was one of the featured guests in the UK documentary series Body Shock: Two Foot High Teen in 2009.
As is usual with American Horror Story, season 4 will feature an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters. This time, the show is set in the 1950s and focuses on one of the last "freak shows" in the country, in Juniper, FL.
The cast includes Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley, John Carroll Lynch, Finn Wittrock and Patti LaBelle (and now Amge), all newbies to the franchise, along with returning cast members Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts and Frances Conroy.
