He...
- The United States is in the grip of relentless suicide bombings.
- Jack Bauer is brought back from China to be given to a terrorist named Fayed who wants to kill Jack to avenge the death of his brother at Jack's hands. Fayed has promised the location of the head of the terrorist organization, Assad, that is carrying out the attacks.
- Jack finds out that it is Fayed behind the bombings and not Assad, and escapes. Bauer is back in action.
- The terrorists have control of five nuclear weapons. At least one WILL be detonated!
- Jack kills Curtis to protect Assad when Curtis attempts to kill Assad for beheading members of his special forces team in Iraq.
