What Are They Up To? 7th Heaven's Jessica Biel

June 8, 2007

Jessica Biel’s big break came when she landed the role of Mary Camden on the television series 7th Heaven in 1996. As the eldest daughter of Eric and Annie Camden, she had a string of boyfriends starting from Wilson West and ending up with Carlos Rivera. In 2000, Biel felt that her saintly image on the family drama hindered her from landing controversial film roles. Given her frustration, she posed topless in a layout of Gear magazine, hoping that her pose would get her out of the 7th Heaven contract, which she did. Unfortunately, she regretted her decision and returned to the series during its fifth season. She continued on for a few episodes until its seventh season in 2003 and finally returned during the show’s supposed finale in May 2006.

7th Heaven Bids Farewell... Again

April 3, 2007

CW has announced that the long-running family drama, 7th Heaven, is going to close its curtains on May 13, 2007, at 8pm ET/PT with the finale episode entitled “And Away We Go.” The episode will be an hour long plot which will attempt to bring light to many loose ends.

This is the second time that 7th Heaven will attempt to wrap things up, after publicly announcing in 2005 that its tenth season would be its last due to the show’s high expenditures. In fact, the series finale was scheduled for May 8, 2006. However, the program was saved and renewed by the CW network, which is its current home, for an eleventh season.
