Max Lerner was best know for his appearance on the first season of MTV’s reality series Two-A-Days. The show featured the Hoover High School’s football team, Hoover Buccaneers, as they persisted and succeeded in their fourth state championship win. Although the football games were the center of the show, Two-A-Days also featured the lives of its football players as typical high school students about to embark on college. Distinguished as number 24, Lerner served as a starting safety and cornerback of the team. He racked up 85 tackles, three interceptions, and a touchdown and was known as a two time all-state selection. Despite his prominence on the show, he tried to keep his personal life, especially his love life, away from the cameras.

After Two-A-Days, Lerner became the only graduating senior cast member to acquire a scholarship from a Division I Championship Subdivision, in which he accepted the offer to play football at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.

Lerner is currently taking a red shirt to extend his term to five years at Furman University. In addition, he has now traded the “Birmingham cut” of long bangs combed across his forehead for a crew cut.
