Reality television made Rob and Amber household names as they appeared in a series of competitive reality programs, which included Survivor and The Amazing Race. They were known as the engaged couple called “Romber” on the seventh season of The Amazing Race, in which they ranked as a runner-up. Despite not ending up as the winners, they managed to earn prizes in leg 2 (a trip to Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas), leg 4 (a Trip to London), leg 7 (a trip to Monaco), and leg 10 (a JVC home entertainment system for each racer). After they competed on the show, they married in a ceremony in the Bahamas and featured their wedding in a two-hour special called Rob and Amber Get Married, which was broadcast on CBS. In 2007, they returned to compete on The Amazing Race: All-Stars, where they were known as the “married” team who finished in eight place.

After The Amazing Race season seven, Rob and Amber filmed a 10-episode show for Fox called Rob and Amber: Against the Odds. The show follows Rob’s attempt to become a professional poker player. Unfortunately, the series ended abruptly when the couple accepted an offer to participate on The Amazing Race: All-Stars. Rob also made television appearances on SciFi Investigates and Poker Dome Challenge.

At present, Rob and Amber are working on an upcoming series that will, according to the couple, “revolutionize reality television.” The couple also claims that the said new game show is going to be bigger than Survivor or The Amazing Race, and that the first prize will be over $10 million. The show will last over 100 days on all seven continents and will have an American Idol-like search for the contestants in June. The highly anticipated program is set to launch next spring.
