Season 12 of Grey’s Anatomy is coming to an end. But it’s about to be the start of a new chapter in Amelia and Owen’s lives — at least it will be if they end up getting married.

ABC’s description of the season finale, titled “Family Affair,” says, “Meredith and Maggie support Amelia on an important day; Jo reveals that she has been keeping secrets from Alex while Arizona and Callie deal with the impact of their custody arrangement. Meanwhile, Ben leaps into action to help a friend.”

And ABC has released a clip from the episode. In the video, Meredith and Maggie are sitting outside their bathroom because Amelia has locked herself in the room on her wedding day. Why? Because she’s not receiving a lot of support from her own family members over her wedding.

Maggie is worried for Amelia, while Meredith isn’t worried and knows Amelia will be fine. She’s seen lots of people lock themselves in the bathroom before. And then Owen shows up to try and save the day.

You can watch the clip below:

Even in serious scenes, Grey’s Anatomy loves to interject with humorous moments. And in this scene, the funniest part is when Meredith yells through the door, “Stuff your feelings in!” And when Maggie gives her a look, she replies, “What? It’s not my love day. I have things to do.”

And the heartwarming and touching moment comes from Owen when he says, “If they don’t want to be here, then they shouldn’t be. We don’t want them. They don’t get it and they don’t have to. I do. I’ll be there. And the only one I want there is you.”

Will Amelia come out of the bathroom and marry Owen? Or are there still more obstacles in the way?

The Grey’s Anatomy season 12 finale airs Thursday, May 19 at 8pm on ABC.
