Tonight’s Glee is is an hour full of tribute performances to the one and only Stevie Wonder. But that’s not the only thing to look forward to. Mercedes, Mike and Cassandra (played by Kate Hudson) are all returning. FOX has released two clips from “Wonder-ful,” which includes a performance by Cassandra and Jake receiving some high praise from two former McKinley High students.

Kate Hudson has been fantastic in her role as Rachel’s Dance 101 instructor, though we haven’t seen her on the show in quite a while. Fortunately, she makes a return appearance tonight. And what do you know, she actually seems happy for Little Miss David Schwimmer’s upcoming Funny Girl audition while performing “Uptight (Everything’s Alright),” with some help from Rachel’s fellow classmates.

This behavior by Cassandra seems so out of character for her. In the promos, we’ve seen her act the way she normally does (saying, “I’m going to be there to watch you blow your first big Broadway audition.”) I wonder if this performance is Rachel dreaming.

Back at McKinley, Mercedes and Mike show up to help out New Directions as they gear up for Regionals. And they’re giving some mighty high praise to Jake Puckerman, calling him a triple-threat, a superstar and Glee Club’s secret weapon.

What do you think of Cassandra’s performance? Is Rachel dreaming, or is Cassandra really happy for her? And do you think Jake will join Mike as a featured dancer for Mercedes’ music video?

Glee airs Thursdays at 9pm on FOX.
