The auditions for American Idol season 13 continue this week when the judges make stops in Detroit and Atlanta. Make sure you tune in because Atlanta will mark the return of one of the most talked-about and memorable auditioners int he history of Idol. And no, I’m not talking about William Hung (though he would certainly hit the top spot on that list).

Before we get to that, here are five other audition previews to get you excited for this week’s episodes.

First up is Detroit where we have more twins trying out. Remember last week when Selena and Sierra auditioned, and one advanced and the other didn’t? Will that happen this time with twins Rakita and Karlita when they perform “Listen” from Dreamgirls?

Actually, it sounds like neither will be heading to Hollywood. It’s not just one bad singer — we’re getting two for the price of one.

Next up is Brian Watt, and the judges have fun with his last name. Afterward, he sings Carrie Underwood‘s “So Small.”

Now that is more like it! I already like the song because of Carrie, but his voice sounds beautiful here. And Jennifer Lopez has melted and can’t speak, she loves it so much.

The final preview video from Detroit is Marrialle Sellars’ audition. This might seem like deja vu, and it is. Idol has been doing cold-opens at the start of episodes this season, and Marrialle was featured at the start of the premiere, even though it wasn’t from the audition cities in that episode. It looks like we’ll finally have her audition in context this time when she sings Bruno Mars’ “Grenade.”

She’s got a good voice and isn’t bad by any means, but I’m not jumping out of my seat for this one. If this is the second time they’re going to show the same audition, then maybe she blows everyone away in Hollywood and Idol just wants to make sure we keep our eyes on her beforehand.

American Idol will also be traveling to Atlanta this week — on Thursday, to be exact. Let’s start it off with Chris Medina bringing in both his guitar and his dog. “Just don’t bring him around Ryan [Seacrest’s] toiletry bag,” Harry Connick, Jr. says. “Could be a little bit of a scene.” You can hear the crew laughing hysterically in the background.

And the laughs don’t end there. After Chris’ performance of Adele’s “Chasing Pavements,” Harry says (with the dog on his lap), “Do you know that song ‘I Have a Small Plastic Bag and a Towelette’?” What has HCJ been doing all these years? Well, a lot, but that’s beside the point — he should have been a judge a long time ago, don’t you think?

Next is Jessica Meuse from Slapout, AL — what a name for a city! The judges have fun with that, then Jessica performs an original song called “Blue Eyed Lies” and Harry makes a comparison to Stevie Nicks.

Out of all these Atlanta/Detroit preview videos, Jessica’s my favorite.

And finally, the one you’ve all been waiting for — it’s the return of General Larry Platt and his hilarious song “Pants on the Ground” from season 9. Harry absolutely loves him and joins in. Usually, he gets exasperated over joke contestants, but how can you not love the “Pants on the Ground” guy?

You can check out the original “Pants on the Ground” audition from 2010 here. And by the way, in case you didn’t know, this song was released as a digital single (it’s still on iTunes if you want to buy it) and made it to #46 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Are you looking forward to watching any of these auditions on Idol this week? And how come Larry “Pants on the Ground” Platt is back?

American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
