Bon Temps is about to get a Mac Attack! Tina Majorino, who played Veronica’s BFF Mac on Veronica Mars, has landed a recurring role on HBO’s True Blood.
According to TVLine, Majorino will play a member of the Vampire Authority’s support staff and will first pop up in season 5’s third episode.
Besides Veronica Mars, Majorino has also had a recurring role on FOX’s Bones. She’s also no stranger to HBO drama’s as she had a major role on Big Love.
As an amusing bit of trivia, True Blood and Veronica Mars have more than just Majorino in common. Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette, was the polar opposite of his flamboyant and fabulous chef when he played former African child solider Apollo Bukenya in a season 3 episode of Veronica Mars.
Majorino herself interacted with another True Blood star, Michael McMillian (who plays the newly-turned vampire Reverend Steve Newlin) when he guest starred as a computer nerd chatting with Mac about computer languages in a season 1 episode of Veronica Mars.
The fifth season of True Blood begins Sunday, June 10 at 9pm on HBO.
