Tyra Banks, creator and judge of America’s Next Top Model and host of The Tyra Banks Show, is headed for New York to shoot the third season of her daytime talk show.

Since its premiere on September 12, 2005, The Tyra Banks Show has filmed in front of a live audience in Los Angeles as it covers a variety of topics concerning women’s issues. Banks, a 33-year old for supermodel, is excited to have a change of venue to perk up her daytime program. “I’m thrilled to be moving to New York. After spending some time in the city this past spring, I knew the energy and rhythm of the city would be great for the show. I feel connected and completely at home,” Banks has said.

“Moving the talk show to New York provides a great opportunity to meet all kinds of people and keep sharing the message of empowerment with everyone everywhere,” Banks has added. “The excitement of New York City will translate to the show each and every day as we continue to face compelling issues…head on.”

With her show currently nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show and Talk Show Host, The Tyra Banks Show has already been renewed for a fourth season. Produced by Bankable Productions and Handprint Entertainment, the program’s third season is set to film at Chelsea Television Studios, under the supervision of its current Los Angeles-based executive producers and is scheduled to premiere on September 10, 2007.

Given the decision to move Banks’ talk show to New York, many are speculating that her hit competitive reality show, America’s Next Top Model, will also take the Big Apple as its new home. However, CW has declined to comment on the speculation.
