Is the constant on-camera bickering between The Voice coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton stealing the focus away from the singers? The two, who have been in a romantic relationship since 2015, are reportedly taking their personal interplay to a new level while the cameras are rolling during the show’s infamous blind auditions.

In one segment that is yet to air, Blake asks Gwen to stop “name dropping” after she remarked to one hopeful contestant that she had recently worked together on a country song with Blake. The two continued their banter during the teaser segments for season 12.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gwen revealed that on many nights, the couple takes their work home with them after the cameras stop rolling.

“We’ll be driving home at night and I’ll be like, ‘Do you think I should put these two people against each other?’ and he’ll be like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Gwen explained. “I was like, ‘I don’t believe you! I think you’re trying to trick me right now!'”

Blake concurred about their current work/home relationship, saying, “There have been those moments and it is pretty funny.”

The couple’s on-camera bickering might be all fun and games, but Gwen and Blake will likely be in for more serious showdowns once the live shows begin on The Voice.

Blake revealed in an interview with ET that things between the couple could become strained when they will both be eyeing the same competitor or worse, trying to steal one another’s contestants during the show’s live rounds.

“She is sleeping on the couch, that is what happens,” Blake quipped. “She will be in the dog house.”

“This season is really intense. There’s a lot of really, really good singers,” Gwen commented about season 12’s contestants.

One of the newest competitors to watch out for is singer J. Chosen who, in a teaser clip for the new season, blew the judges away with his rendition of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing,” causing Blake, Gwen, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys to turn their chairs around.
