After Heath Ledger’s death, most probably thought the last we’ll see of him are the highlight clips from The Dark Knight that we saw during all those awards nights, and perhaps his abruptly-cut role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.  But there’s news now, that two music videos that he directed will soon hit screens.

Music video number one comes from indie band Modest Mouse.  Ledger directed the animated video for the band’s song “King Rat”, which was released along with their 2007 album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank.

“Heath and I have a mutual friend and when we were in Australia, my fiance and some of us in the band went out on a boat with him and his family and friends and talked about the idea,” vocalist Isaac Brock said in an interview that same year.  The video was animated by Daniel Auber, who is part of Ledger’s art collective, the Massive.

Also set for release is the music video to Grace Woodroofe’s track “Quicksand”, a cover of David Bowie’s classic.  It will come out along with the release of her debut album.
