The CW is gearing up for the 2018-2019 TV season in a big way by renewing 10 shows. All five of its superhero shows, including freshman Black Lightning, will be back, as will Supernatural, Riverdale and even the low-rated first-year drama Dynasty. Rounding out the renewals are Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

The CW Sets Finale Dates>>>

Supernatural will be back for season 14, which means it will hit its landmark 300th episode, likely in February 2019. The Flash will be back for season 5, which will include its 100th episode.

Arrow‘s renewal extends it to season 7, Jane the Virgin will go into season 5 and Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will all enter their fourth seasons. Riverdale will be back for season 3.

In terms of new shows, Black Lightning and Dynasty will both return for second seasons. The renewal for Dynasty is a bit of a surprise as its ratings have been low and it was moved to Friday nights, but with the CW expanding to Sunday nights in the Fall, there may have been enough room for it.

The CW Moves Final Season of The Originals to Wednesdays>>>

All of these renewals leave very little in question for the network’s remaining current shows. Mid-season entries iZombie and The 100 are still on the bubble while freshman dramas Valor and Life Sentence are almost certainly cancelled.

With 12 hours to fill and a mid-season schedule, that still leaves a lot of room on the CW for new shows with plenty in development, including reboots of Charmed and Roswell plus spin-offs of The Originals and Supernatural.
