ABC is showing much love for Farmer Chris Soules as the network announces The Bachelor season 19 premiere will be three hours long and will be telecast live. According to TV Line, the season opener will feature traditional elements from the reality dating series, including the limo drop-off. However, majority of the episode will be live as host Chris Harrison will be in the studio with an audience while past contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette share their opinions.

Chris Soules made his reality TV debut on The Bachelorette season 10 where he competed for Andi Dorfman. The farmer made it to the final three but was not invited to the Fantasy Suite and was sent home by Andi, who could not picture her life in Iowa with him. Chris was devastated but still made a graceful exit as he expressed his respect for Andi. “I want to find a partner in life, a best friend, someone that wants to be around me every day … that’s what I want,” he told the cameras after his elimination.
