Since Pussycat Dolls Present: Search for the Next Doll ended, crowning Asia Nitollano as the winner and next doll, many fans of the show have been wondering what the contestants are up to now. Well, here’s some news for you.

Melissa Reyes, Melissa Smith, and Chelsea Korka performed with the girl group “Girlesque” at the 21st annual Fashion Cares event on May 12 in Toronto, Canada. Girlesque is a burlesque dance troupe from the United Kingdom.
Despite rumors to the contrary all over the internet this week, Melissa Reyes, Melissa Smith, and Chelsea Korka are not part of the Girlesque group, but simply performed with them at the charity event. Fashion Cares is an annual fashion show in support of the AIDS Committee of Toronto. Jay Manuel of America’s Next Top Model (and Canada’s Next Top Model) hosted the show, which this year had a burlesque theme. Robin Antin, Pussycat Dolls founder and judge of Pussycat Dolls Present, also attended.

Melissa Smith also appeared at auditions for the next season of Pussycat Dolls Present. Smith was at this weekend’s open casting call in Detroit, meeting potential contestants on next season’s Pussycat Dolls Present show. There are still going to be auditions for the next season in Providence, RI, Philadelphia, PA, Lafayette, LA, Pittsburgh, PA, Pleasanton, CA, Miami, FL, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA, though there’s no word yet on whether Melissa Smith or any of the other contestants from the first season will be making appearances at the open calls.

Pussycat Dolls Present: Search for the Next Doll winner Asia Nitollano helped juged a pageant at New York’s Hawaiian Tropic Zone lounge, along with Maxim Radio hosts Rich Davis and Steve Covino, and Federico Castelluccio (Furio of The Sopranos). Presumably we’ll soon start to hear news of her rehearsing and performing with the Pussycat Dolls.
