Matt Neustadt, a 29-year-old farmer West Alton, Missouri, appeared on The CW’s Farmer Wants a Wife in attempt to find a potential romantic partner among a group of 10 single city women.  Though he was attracted to several ladies on the show, his heart was eventually captured by Brooke Ward, a 22-year-old marketing representative from Dallas, Texas. And while the premise of the Farmer Wants a Wife certainly suggests the future direction of their relationship, a wedding date has not yet been set for Matt and his potential wife Brooke.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean that things aren’t going well for the Farmer Wants a Wife couple. In fact, they recently went public when they appeared together for a fundraising event at the Big Kahuna Celebrity Bartender Challenge in St. Charles.  Moreover, Brooke has packed up and left her apartment in Hermosa Beach, California to move to St. Charles, giving us more confirmation that Matt and Brooke are actually pursuing a relationship.

“We just want to get to know one another off camera,” Matt told the St. Charles Journal.  “We just want to try to have a normal relationship and see where things lead.”

Despite having no wedding plans yet, Matt’s general intentions are, indeed, matrimonial.

“I am not going to date somebody I didn’t think I would eventually like to marry,” he added.

In the meantime, Matt is looking forward to a future with Brooke and has no Hollywood aspirations.

“I’m not an actor,” he explained.  “Reality TV requires no acting.  I don’t see this as a springboard for anything.  This came to me out of the blue. I’m not naive enough to think that anything will ever come of it.”

On the other hand, a lot of people still recognize him for his exposure on Farmer Wants a Wife.

“I don’t think I will ever get used to people asking for my autograph,” he said.  “It’s not worth anything.”
