The news of Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray’s breakup became a hot topic not just among fans of The Bachelorette but also among personalities from The Bachelor franchise. Based on our poll, more than 60 percent of our readers were not really surprised by the couple’s split but that doesn’t seem to be the case for host Chris Harrison, Andi’s season 10 runner-up Nick Viall, and Josh’s mom Lauren Goodhart Murray.

Chris Harrison shares his reaction to Josh and Andi’s breakup on Twitter: “Very sorry to learn yesterday that @AndiDorfman and @jmurbulldog broke up. I wish both friends nothing but the best.”

Nick Viall breaks his silence to Bustle about his reaction to Josh and Andi’s split and whether a reconciliation with Andi is in the cards: “I was a little surprised to hear that. Especially given how they were seen together during the premiere… I feel for them. I have no idea what the details are, but whatever the case, I am sure it’s a difficult time for both of them. I hope things work out for both of them. I am sure they will… I have moved on from my relationship with Andi, so there is certainly no interest from a romantic standpoint. If at some point we could be friends, I would certainly think that would be great, but again I don’t expect either of us to reach out.”

Josh’s mother, Lauren Goodhart Murray, talks about the split on her Facebook page: “Yes it’s true, Andi & Josh have chosen to break off their engagement. Although there was no one thing that precipitated their decision, they were thoughtful & wise in their decision and I’m happy they figured this out before getting married & having kids. The engagement time did it’s job in helping them determine what’s best for them. I know we all wanted the storybook ending but I trust The Lord has an even better journey for each of them and that makes my heart happy.”

Andi and Josh called off their engagement three days after The Bachelor season 19 premiere event, where they were seemingly affectionate with one another.

“After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it’s best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what’s best for both of us individually,” their rep tells TMZ.
