That’s the kind of rumor that’s making rounds on cyberspace these days. Several reports stating that the Law & Order: Criminal Intent actor Jeff Goldblum is dead came hours after the death of actress Farrah Fawcett and minutes after a Los Angeles County coroner confirmed Michael Jackson had passed away.

All three deaths have sent shockwaves through the media but only two out of three are real. Goldblum’s publicist has already denied the story.

“Reports that Jeff Goldblum has passed away are completely untrue. He is fine and in Los Angeles,” publicist Lisa Kasteler said in a statement.

So where did the “Jeff Goldblum Dead” rumors come from? Earlier reports suggest that the Criminal Intent actor had a bad fall, specifically 60 feet from the Kauri Cliffs while on-set filming a new movie in New Zealand. But it turns out that this was just a rumor as no one could confirm the news.

At present, Goldblum plays Detective Zach Nichols on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, consequently replacing former cast member Chris Noth as a Senior Detective on the show. He is also working on several upcoming movie projects, including the romantic comedy The Baster opposite Jennifer Aniston, and the comedy Morning Glory alongside Harrison Ford.

With his quirky style of delivery, Goldblum caught the attention of viewers with a single line in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall and went to appear in the remake Invasion of the Body Snatchers before a high-profile turn in the classic ensemble film The Big Chill. He also garnered attention for his role in The Fly, Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur adventure Jurassic Park and its sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Aside from Jeff Goldblum, actor Harrison Ford has also been rumored to have died, and evidently, social network Twitter almost crashed because of crude pranks hyping unconfirmed celebrity deaths. Of course, Ford’s death is just a hoax as well.
