Recent events aside, **Dancing with the Stars news doesn’t **all have to be about Bristol, does it? Hope not!

Bristol Palin Apologizes for Her Sister
TMZ reports that Bristol Palin has apologized on behalf of her younger sister, Willow, following the younger Palin’s offensive Facebook remarks.

It was reported earlier that Willow had gotten into a Facebook fight with a classmate after he had posted criticism of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. First calling the boy “disgusting,” Willow upped the offense factor by adding in some homophobic slurs. Willow has since deleted her Facebook account.

While Bristol initially supported her sister, joining in on the Facebook posts against him, today she has posted a limited apology for the incident. Her wall post now states, “Willow and I shouldn’t have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize. On a nicer note, thank you for supporting the great competition in Dancing with the Stars!”

I’m sure it’s all better now.

Could Voters Be Supporting Another Palin Soon?
Bristol’s mother sure thinks so.

ABC News has posted a brief video in which the TV personality/politician cheerleader states that she may run for President in 2012 and could totally beat President Obama if she did. When asked directly about her chances for victory, Palin’s response was a concise “I believe so.”

The clip is from an interview with Barbara Walters, set to air on Dec. 9.

It may seem rather far-fetched for Sarah Palin to make such comments, but hey, we didn’t think Bristol could make it to the finals either!

Ellen DeGeneres Has DWTS Opinions
Not many opinions about Bristol though. It’s not all about her, remember.

Instead, DeGeneres talked to Zap2It about her pick for this season’s winner and whether her wife, Portia de Rossi, will participate on next season’s Dancing with the Stars.

Ellen’s choice? “If I was putting money on it, I would say Jennifer.” Not a terribly unusual choice, considering Jennifer Grey’s frontrunner status since day 1. Still, it’s refreshing to hear someone pick a winner without even mentioning the notorious Miss Palin.

For those hoping to see Portia de Rossi on DWTS, however, the news wasn’t terribly promising. DeGeneres indicated that de Rossi would probably say no: “I don’t think Portia is going to do it, either, but she was flattered that they asked her.”

Portia de Rossi’s name first appeared as a potential DWTS contestant during a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. At the time, de Rossi said that she would consider the idea.
