Another name has surfaced online for who will be signing on to season 16 of Dancing with the StarsAccording to TMZ, comedian Andy Dick will be one of the stars announced during Tuesday’s cast unveiling on Good Morning America.

Inside sources claim that Andy will be paired with one of the new dancers (Lindsay Arnold or Sharna Burgess, assuming those are the only new pros), and they tell TMZ, “He’s more for comedy … nobody expects much from him.” That doesn’t surprise me one bit that DWTS would bring on someone just for laughs. But Andy is supposedly “taking the competition very seriously and wants to prove that he’s for real.” We’ll see how long that lasts. Who knows — maybe he’ll surprise us all.

The source also says that Andy was seen on the DWTS set today. Lisa Vanderpump and D.L. Hughley were spotted as well.

This could be a risky hire considering the comedian is more known for his personal life (drug and alcohol addiction, multiple arrests, in and out of rehab) than his career. He’s appeared on Celebrity Rehab (Mindy McCready, who also took part on the Dr. Drew show, recently died) and its spin-off Sober House.

As we reported on earlier, NFL wide receiver Jacoby Jones has been officially confirmed as a contestant. And Kellie Pickler, Wynonna Judd, Aly Raisman and Sean Lowe have signed contracted for season 16.

Will Andy Dick bring humor to the dance floor? Or will it just be a disaster?

The new season of Dancing with the Stars premieres March 18 at 8pm on ABC.
