Scar is the main antagonist of the 1994 Disney animated film The Lion King, and is considered as one of the greatest Disney villains of all time. Brother to Mufasa and uncle to Simba, he is jealous that Simba has been selected to succeed his father as king, so he plots to kill the two. He recruits three hyenas—Shenzi, Banzai and Ed—to do his bidding in exchange for food. When he finally kills Mufasa after a wildebeest stampede he started—and made Simba think that he is responsible for it—he starts his reign over the Pride Lands, where he fulfills his promises to the hyenas that they will “never go hungry again,” causing droughts in the area. He is also known for mistreating the lionesses. He died after Simba returned to the Pride Lands, forcing him to admit responsibility for Mufasa’s death, and falls to the cliff, where he is killed by the hyenas he betrayed earlier. Actor Jeremy Irons provided Scar’s voice, and his singing voice was provided in part by Jim !$#!#mings.
