Biography

Actress Liz Vassey was born on August 9, 1972 in Raleigh, North Carolina. After acting for stage plays in the Tampa Bay area, she made her television debut in 1988, taking over the role of Emily Ann Sago in the daytime soap All My Children. It earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1990. Her other early roles include guest roles in Beverly Hills 90210, Married… with Children, Home Improvement and Dawson’s Creek, as well as recurring roles in ER and Pigsty.

Vassey’s most popular role was in the short-lived superhero series The Tick, which earned critical acclaim and a cult following despite running for only eight episodes. She also held a role in another short-lived mystery series, Push, Nevada, and had a recurring role in Tru Calling. She joined the cast of CSI in 2005, appearing as Wendy Simms in a recurring capacity until 2009, when she was promoted to the main cast.

Since then, she became part of Joss Whedon’s online series Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. This was followed by an appearance on the Chuck Lorre sitcom Two and a Half Men.
