Kristen Alderson, who was born on May 29, 1991, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, had always wanted to be an actress since she was a young girl. Born to Rich and Kathy Alderson, she showed an interest in Disney movies and performed for her family numerous times. When she was four, her local dance class in Pennsylvania was picked to take part in a television production. She was discovered at Al Albert, a local talent show which helped her land the role of Molly in a stage production of Annie. At the age of six, she auditioned for the role of Starr Manning on the soap opera, One Life to Live.

Since March 1998, Kristin Alderson became part of the cast of the soap opera, One Life to Live. Her character has been well-received, due to her performance of someone being devastated upon learning the truth. Alderson’s real-life brother, Eddie, also has a role in the soap opera, portraying the character Matthew Rappaport. In 2005, Kristen Alderson received a Soap Opera Digest Award under the category of Favorite Teen for her portrayal in One Life to Live. The actress has also been known to have a fondness for music, which arose since she recorded a song for One Life to Live’s Many Voices CD. She belted out her rendition of Martina McBride’s “From this Moment On” for the compilation. Though she has proven her dedication to the show, she has expressed her interest in working on other productions, such as films and Broadway plays. Some of Alderson’s other appearances include those in SoapTalk, as well as being seen on the audience of Dancing with the Stars. She was accompanied by her One Life to Live co-star, Brandon Buddy, who portrays Cole Thornhart on the soap. Alderson has also been featured on The View, as well as on Entertainment Tonight.
