Born on November 12, 1970 in Suva, Fiji, actor Craig Parker is best known for his role in Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, where he played Haldir the Elf. Before that though, he has had plenty of other projects. He’s done voice-overs for New Zealand documentaries, and even for the 2005 Power Rangers series. He started out on the small screen in 1987, appearing as Justin Grieg in the show Gloss.

Craig Parker later took on the role of Guy Warner on Shortland Street, and also became famous for playing Bellerophon on Xena: Warrior Princess. He was also seen on shows like Mercy Peak and Young Hercules, in addition to taking on a recurring role o Legend of hte Seeker. In 2009 he was cast as Leighton Mills on Diplomatic Immunity, before obtaining the part of Glaber on Starz Network’s Spartacus: Blood and Sand.

On the big screen, Parker had a small part on Stephen King’s “The Tommyknockers”. He was also on the short film Man Made, in addition to 2006’s Weekend Lovers and 2009’s Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. He even became a prominent presence in the theatre community, appearing on productions of MacBeth, The Seagull, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and narrating The Rocky Horror Show.
