The evening was interposed with premieres last night, with extreme game show Wipeout and Amazing Race rip-off Expedition Impossible facing off against So You Think You Can Dance. ABC had both Wipeout and Expedition Impossible on its team last night, and walked away with the evening. Wipeout premiered with 7.47 million viewers, while Expedition Impossible entered its first season with 7.05 million viewers. Today the nominations for the 2011 Teen Choice Awards were announced, and as usual, it‘s a collection of obvious choices. Guess what? Teens still love Twilight, and they also really like Justin Bieber, Glee and Justin Timberlakie (who, at 30 years old, will probably be given a Lifetime Achievement Award next year). Read more »
Last night, The Voice hit its highest audience in four weeks, while America‘s Got Talent remained steady, winning NBC the night by a longshot and leaving most other programming in the dust. A few shows that enjoyed decent premieres last week saw dips this week, as expected.  Read more »

Last night saw the premiere of Big Brother 13, the summer reality phenomenon. CBS came roaring back, with Big Brother 13 turning out some of its best ratings ever, and easily winning the night. That‘s a nice change of pace for CBS, which has been airing reruns pretty consistently all summer. Meanwhile, on FOX, So You Think You Can Dance maintained its Thursday ratings versus last week.
