True Blood started off with a bang, and a ton of new viewers last week, and thankfully, the second episode of the season continues with the unique blend of gore, drama, sex and comedy. So wipe the blood from your recently dyed hair, because I want to do real bad things with you.Things get off to a disgusting start as True Blood picks up right where it left off, with Eric throwing AIDS Burger Mans severed arm onto Lafayette before dripping the fresh blood from his mouth. True Blood is the only show that can make you vomit and laugh at the same time, because all Eric is concerned about is whether theres blood in his hair, since it will ruin Pams dye job.

With the third episode of the season, True Blood continues to be the most disgusting show on TV with the help of a new beast that causes some major damage on Sookies back. Theres also the return of Maryanns pig and a new and rather unexpected romance. Picking up where we left off, Bill glamors Jessicas family to make them forget all about the drama, allowing Bill, Sookie and Jessica to drive home. Bill and Sookie get into the expected fight about what she was doing, and despite their claims that they dont want to be one of "those" couples, they totally are. Sookie throws a hissy fit and chooses to walk home to Bon Temps, which is one of those idiotic horror movie decisions like investigating a noise or being the black guy.

And only because I know some people who gawk at the idea of Anna Paquin naked. "Ohmeegosh, shes gone more nakeder than I thought!" Well, maybe for some it is the selling point of True Blood--its a minority, but I cant blame them--so of course that question would be posed to Sookie herself."I feel fine [about the nude scenes]," she told AOL TV. "Although the way that people ask me about it all the time, I feel like maybe I should feel uptight about it. But I really dont ... I wouldnt do it if it was too much. Everyones very respectful of the boundaries of whichever actor is doing stuff like that on the set. So, its not cameras being thrown anywhere and anything can happen, you know? Its quite choreographed."

It wasnt particularly easy watching that crucial scene on last Sundays True Blood. You know, that bit when things really got going during Taras birthday party. People start shoving cake in their faces and punch each other while laughing--and then the very much expected sex--all while Maryann starts chanting those Greek terms again, and amidst all the gasping, shes transformed... to that monster that ripped Miss Jeanettes heart out.Sure, some of us had it coming, but you know that feeling of being drawn to something we very well knew (or felt) anyway? Yeah. So enough of those thought bubbles, then, for there are questions to ask. Like, both Maryann and the heart-ripping monster are sinister in their own ways. Or at least thats what they want us to think. So is she a villain?

The Saturday and Sunday Comic-Con schedules were released over the weekend. I thought things would get really good on Saturday, but the list is less than impressive. I suppose with four full days of Comic-Con, you can spread out the really big panels. Once again, below is a list of our picks for the day. Check it out and if you see anything missing, check the full list here. One thing Im curious about is the Chuck panel. Why is it at 10am? Doesnt Chuck deserve one of the better time slots? Wouldnt NBC push for a better panel time? Chuck already had some struggles last season, but this season promises to kick-ass and the new kung fu twist is perfect for the Comic-Con fans. I stand perplexed. Either way, it looks like Ill be spending my morning with a donut, cup of coffee and my favorite show Chuck.Check out our list of picks below. Fans of the Sookie Stackhouse series as well as fans of the True Blood series were pleased to see both powerhouses on stage Saturday night. Charlaine Harris, writer of the Sookie Stackhouse novels joined Alan Ball, creator of the HBO hit True Blood joined forces to explain the upcoming adventures of Sookie, Bill, Eric, Tara, Sam, and Lafayette. One thing was made clear (SPOILER ALERT), the Bill, Sookie, and Eric love triangle will play out just as it is written in the novels. For those of you that havent read the novels, that shouldnt spoil much. For those of you that have, you know what I mean. Fans were chomping at the bit to find out what would happen and thats a pretty clear indicator.

In case youre watching True Blood with an extraordinary sense of ignorance--and by that, I mean not having an idea how it arrived and what its done since--and you havent paid attention to the pretty good opening titles for the show, well, you probably dont know that the whole thing came from Charlaine Harris book series. But you probably know that, because two seasons in, youve probably paid a bit more attention.Which means you probably know that series creator Alan Ball isnt sticking to the books. If youve read the books--or, even if you havent, like me--you know that at this moment Lafayette is supposed to be dead; instead we see that woman who conned Tara and her mother. Or, say, the entry of Sophie Leclerq into the whole picture, which isnt supposed to happen this early, at least according to the books. Now that True Blood is more successful, arguably, than the books themselves, the question is, will be books adapt?

Bill, Sookie and Erics love triangle may have stolen the spotlight on True Blood but theres another couple on the HBO vampire series thats far more refreshing to watch these days. If youre a fan of this show, youd know that Im referring to sweet good-hearted Hoyt and newborn bloodsucker Jessica. Apart from playing Jasons pal, Hoyt didnt leave me a big impression on the first season of True Blood so it came as a pleasant surprise when he got all caught up in the world of vampires in season 2. Heck not even his portrayer Jim Parrack expected Hoyt to have a juicy storyline for season 2. So with no background on the Charlaine Harris novels and no idea about how to proceed with Hoyt, Parrack kept his character mostly original.

Could there be something in the water on the set of True Blood because it looks like Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer arent the only ones who have hooked up? Word on the street is that Alexander Skarsgard, who plays sexy hot vampire Eric Northman, and Evan Rachel Wood, who portrays Queen Sophie-Ann, are now an item. Unlike Perez Hilton, who first hinted on the couple alert and clearly detests the hook-up, I dont really have any strong feelings about Skarsgard and Wood getting together. But its interesting to see how their off-screen romance will play out. Will they follow in the footsteps of Paquin and Moyer, who just recently got engaged? I doubt it.

And suddenly that two-week gap made sense. After last weeks True Blood finally went to air, Ive been reading quite a lot of reactions, all saying its the best episode in the entire series so far, or something as lofty. Makes sense, actually, considering that it laid itself out just right--the slow build towards Maryanns identity, or the climax (cant help it) between Tara and Eggs relationship, or Jasons life within the Fellowship...But the booms were those scenes in Dallas. Surely Im not alone in finding something endearing in that last scene, when Sookie realizes Jessica had room service--human room service--and later finds out that the person who sent that guy in can also read minds. I havent read the books, but Im figuring out Barrys entrance is quite crucial, and yet despite whatever significance it holds, it was nice when they kept it quirky. It felt delicate, or something.

Hello again, True Blood folkies. We were off over the Fourth of July holiday, which is a good thing since we get a break, but not exactly with the show in mind. No new episode, sure, with HBO deciding to show the first three of the second season all over again, which I didnt watch because I figured I just watched the newest episode the week before. And now that were dealing with a new episode tonight, Im wondering what happened last week again. What again?Oh, right. Sookie gets attacked, Tara gets suspicious, Sam gets confused and Jason almost gets it.

This episode of True Blood is all about coincidences. Jason is called up to the big house, Daphne knows something, Maryanns true self is revealed, and Barry arrives. What is the real meaning behind all of these seemingly random events? Lets try to find out,

There were a few interesting things on last weeks True Blood, one of them being the fact that vampires actually cry blood. Which looks painful, considering that Jessicas the one doing the crying. But I think Sookie said something like "vampires are not supposed to cry" and then I realize its because it could be easier for V-juice addicts to nab vampires and torture them. Of course, Im kidding. And so we welcome ourselves to a full-on culture clash between oh-yeah-I-know-right teener Jessica, relative softie Sookie, and Civil War veteran Bill. Okay, so its not a culture clash, since the only thing I see different is the way they speak. But what happened towards the end--when Jessica somehow decided to reunite with her human family before threatening her abusive dad, and all the drama that came after--just set up the fact that things will be very complicated, and not just because someone else joined the party. Well, Jessica is still torn between her human impulses and her vampire impulses. And Sookie can see one side. And Bill can see the other (since its been eons since he was human). You get the idea.

Well, there you are, folks. Lafayette is alive, bound, gagged--well, not really, so I take that back. At least we now know why hes gone missing for all that time--and all those questions for the past few months about his fate, and whether Alan Ball will pull off another deviation from the original book series and keep a popular character. And then we have those details about him getting entangled with foil-wearing Eric, and well all wonder how that will turn up.That aside, last weeks True Blood was what I expected--a little underwhelming. Well, save for that sex scene at the end, which I knew was coming, but not in that manner. But anyway, I was telling folks that, well, we have eleven episodes to go and things should spike up soon. Funny the details somehow hold up.

True Blood fans were hoping that episode 9 would put an end to Maryanns wicked schemes but it only paved the exit for yet another character. Godric, whos considered the oldest vampire in New World and who has only been around for four episodes, committed suicide by sunlight to atone for his sins. Clearly, there were "centuries of faith and love between" Godric and Eric, and its unfortunate that weve only seen a fraction of his so-called greatness.

After last weeks emotionally driven episode, it was bracing to see True Blood return its focus on Bon Temps with so much vigor and action. I already had an idea that "New World in My View" would involve chaos, organs, kidneys, livers and some sort of goal, which Sam wittily describes as "Maryann wants to cut out my heart while a bunch of naked people watch," but I never expected to be on the edge of my seat while I laughed so hard in what appeared to be the funniest moment ever on True Blood. If you havent seen the episode, then I suggest you watch it now. At any rate, here are the highlights:

In anticipation of the climactic final battle with maenad Maryann, I was overly excited about "Frenzy." The episode setup good groundwork for the finale, however, it didnt really live up to all the hype. It was also a bit of a let down seeing one scene jump to another without any major developments. On the other had, there were so many revelations in this installment alone, including Hoyts sad backstory, Sookies cousin, Eric lusting after teacup humans, and Sookie and Lafayette both admitting to being subconsciously obsessed with the Viking vamp. For those who have not seen the episode yet, dont go any further. But for those who have, read on and weigh in on the highlights.

"What is with the egg? Did you lay it?" Sookie asked Maryann in last nights True Blood finale. Its the most odd and baffling mystery in the entire season but sadly all we got was an underwhelming answer: Its an ostrich egg that represents fertility! At least, it wasnt some kind of sci-fi alien-related explanation, right? Still, the season ender wasnt without the shows typical bizarre antics.
