Articles for The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3

The franchise moves towards the South, with BravoTV taking its audiences for a look at the posh lives of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  Strong female minds continue the drama from Orange County and New York, and bring us a new perspective from the largest metropolitan city of Georgia.   Five glamorous Southern belles are featured, and we‘ll be getting to know DeShawn, Kim, Lisa, NeNe and Sheree throughout the show‘s run.  The series premiere will first be giving us a sneak peek into the lifestyle of DeShawn, the wife of professional basketball player Eric Snow of the Cleveland Cavaliers.  For the very first time, DeShawn sees her custom built mansion and marvels in it.  Meanwhile, Lisa the real estate maven attempts to juggle her family life and her numerous careers.   Busy with her vocations, she also manages a jewelry line, a baby clothing line, and dabbles in acting, modeling and writing as well. It seems like it needs a firm hand to administer all of this, and we might just learn a thing or two from Lisa‘s ways. Read more »
What‘s better than the on-screen drama is the behind-the-scenes conflicts that reality TV shows edit out.  Such is the case for BravoTV‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which had enough camera-worthy scenes left on the cutting room floor.  The drama already began even before the series aired, which makes us question just what they don‘t let us see.  Lisa Hu Hartwell, one of the women on the reality series, has revealed that she and her ex-husband, Keith Sweat, didn‘t agree on allowing their children on the series.  She wanted all three of her kids to be seen on the latest Real Housewives incarnation, but the RnB hitmaker Sweat got in the way.  Hartwell was hoping that she could share the experience with the kids, but Sweat didn‘t sign the waiver.  Read more »

Friendship is a funny and fun thing, but you‘re not going to laugh if you‘ve been the victim of a backstabbing blow.  You‘d think things couldn‘t be worse than having someone you trust betray you, except there‘s actually something far horrible: seeing it on reality television.  This is one hard lesson learned by two of the ladies on Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  It was the camaraderie of Kim and Nene which was greatly tested, all because of a little music and alcohol.During the last episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Deshawn, Kim and Nene went out to dinner with their spouses.  The rift was caused because NeNe had too much to drink, leading her to make fun of Kim and her country singing career.  Everyone was laughing at the song NeNe created on the spot, which consisted of lyrics like “I‘m 29 but I look 89.”  You can see how this probably damaged Kim‘s ego, especially when NeNe belted out “Dallas Austin is helping me because of my mannnnn.”  Things weren‘t as heated until Lisa told Sheree about it, and she told Kim.  Read more »
If you think losing your cool on national television is well, cool, just ask Lisa Wu Hartwell how it‘s done.  Though the levelheaded wife of NFL player Ed Hartwell hasn‘t exploded on The Real Housewives of Atlanta yet, she surely will in due time.  She‘s done her best to stay away from the drama, but she assures viewers that she has her limits.  Straight from Lisa herself, news are buzzing with the information regarding the show‘s upcoming reunion special.  Even if it‘s set to air on November 25 on Bravo, the mother of three has already confirmed that her co-star Kim Zolciak has pushed her buttons far too much. Read more »
The Atlanta catfight has just evolved to an entirely new level of drama.  It doesn‘t seem as terrible when you see what‘s going on while the camera is rolling on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  However, the backstage backstabbing seems to have gone too far.  The conflict between Lisa Wu Hartwell and Kim Zociak just keeps getting worse, especially when threats are being sent through voicemail.  TMZ has released this video interview with The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim, revealing a voicemail she received from her co-star, Lisa.  This is surely a surprise to many, as Lisa has been viewed as one who could handle her emotional outbursts on the show.  Most people would expect either Sheree or NeNe for this kind of thing, but apparently Lisa found that things were getting out of hand.  She needed to take control of matters, and realized that the best way was to confront Kim. Read more »
If there‘s one breakout star of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it might be Sheree Whitfield. The first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta couldn’t have survived without the drama brought full-swing by Kim Zolciak.  In just a few months, we witnessed her turn her back on her best friend NeNe, find solace in Sheree, and face the wrath of the country music industry.  She also boosted ratings and her popularity with her romance with the mysterious millionaire Big Papa, while raised a few eyebrows with claims about her age and her hair.  After hearing about her from a melee of sources, we finally get a chance to listen to what Kim has to say.  She recently addressed the rumors during an interview, beginning with the most heated topic of all: NeNe.  Read more »
It was the reunion special that did it for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  The strategy was simple for the showrunners, relying heavily on drama and the conflicting nature of the ladies they cast in the show.  With much of the hype dragging in viewers for that single episode, the ordeal brought about much success. It‘s no surprise that audiences tuned in to the hit series.  The Real Housewives of Atlanta was packed with petty arguments among the privileged, a recurring and popular theme in this day and age.  Viewership for the reunion special easily outdid its previous season finale, and produced more than double the average ratings for the season.  Read more »

Now, NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta wants critics to leave Staub alone."For someone to criticize someone about something they‘ve done in their 20s is absolutely bananas," Leakes told E! Now, it‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes‘ book that will be dishing the dirt on former friend turned sparring partner Kim Zolciak. Read more »

"Don‘t let the cute face fool you!" ---a snappy reminder from Sheree Whitfield for people who want to get on her bad side. The morning after last Thursday‘s sophomore premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the socialite mother of three became "the number one trending topic on Twitter" and it‘s all because of the heated on-camera argument she had with her party planner Anthony. Read more »
Following the feud with party planner Anthony, Sheree tries to explain herself in an all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, airing tonight at 10pm on Bravo. When we last saw The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Sheree decided to throw herself an "Independence Party" to celebrate her recent divorce from NFL professional football player Bob Whitfield, with whom she has two children, but the party plans went awry. Lisa and her husband, on the other hand, discussed the idea of having another baby. Meanwhile, the ladies attended actress Niecy Nash‘s birthday party, where Shereé and NeNe reflected on their tumultuous past. Kim also decided she wants to design a line of wigs, and got the ball rolling by going to cosmetology school while new housewife Kandi pondered about her new life with fiancé AJ. Read more »
There‘s never a dull moment when it comes to The Real Housewives of Atlanta and this week, it‘s all about cast member Kim Zolciak and her alleged brawl with co-star NeNe Leakes. Since the beginning of this franchise, backstabbing, tongue-lashing catfights have become sort of ordinary for viewers. It has even come to a point where we now expect these things from these ladies and that no episode would be complete without the scuffles. After all, these are just fiery words and nothing physical, right? Read more »
Living large has always been the norm when it comes to the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Besides the drama and the catfights, it‘s actually one of the main attractions of the Bravo franchise. I‘ve seen the gigantic mansions and extravagant splurges but, so far, have not seen any real proof to support their overly exaggerated luxurious lifestyle. Sure, some of them have their own businesses while others have found themselves some rich entrepreneur to marry. Still, it seems like they are living way beyond their means and quite predictably, this has taken a toll on some its stars. Read more »
Some pretty harsh things have been said on The Real Housewives of Atlanta but since the second season kicked off, none of the catfights have really turned physical. Will the third episode be an exception? Stay tuned tonight at 10/9c on Bravo to find out. Last week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe, Sheree and Kim attempted to reconcile but to no avail. Sheree also dished out about her recent blow-up she had with a party planner while Lisa and Ed had their first fertility visit. On the other hand, Kandi went to the studio to work on her solo album.  Read more »
If you enjoyed last season‘s Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, imagine watching it all play out right before your very eyes. That dream (or nightmare) can now turn into a reality with Bravo‘s "Live Like a Real Housewife" sweepstakes, where you could win a chance to see a taping of the hit reality show. The idea is simple but the mechanics is even easier, especially if you‘re a fan of this show. All you have to do is watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on August 20 and have your cell phone and computer ready while you enjoy the catfights and bickering, and then answer one of several trivia questions about the drama unfolding in the episode. All the questions will be posted on Bravo‘s website, where you can also view the instructions for the sweepstakes in detail. Read more »
I was really looking forward to a little more than a wig readjustment on last week‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta especially since the promo clips left me on the edge of my seat. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be the biggest catfight in the Real Housewives history failed to live up to all its hype. Read more »
Sometimes it‘s hard to draw the line between real life and reality TV when it comes to the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Whether it‘s on or off-camera, there‘s always some kind of drama going on, making it hard for you to believe who‘s actually telling the truth. Earlier this month, fiery words came out of co-stars Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes, who just recently patched things up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta but are now ironically caught in yet another off-camera fight. It was all about an alleged physical altercation that happened during a heated confrontation in April, with Kim accusing NeNe of choking her out.  Read more »
Looks like Kim Zolciak isn‘t the only cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta with an explosive stripper past. Nene Leakes has recently admitted that she once shed her clothes for cash and she‘s not ashamed about it. "Yes, I was a stripper. Let the judgments ensue. I‘m not ashamed. What difference does it make if I danced or not? Is the sun going to stop shining? Is my past taking food out of your mouth? My son was in private school, his father wasn‘t chipping in for pull-ups or food, I had no job and no money coming in, the rent was past due, and the super told me and my roommate that our condo owner was about to put us out. It was about survival," NeNe announced in her autobiography. Read more »
Tonight, Bravo brings it up a notch by airing a super-sized episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Beginning at 9pm, fans can catch some never-before-seen footage from Housewives Kim and Sheree‘s tumultuous argument, with a surprise cameo by Michael Lohan and the "director‘s cut" of last week‘s "Unbeweavable" episode that sparked the controversial yet anti-climatic wig catfight. Hopefully the director‘s cut ending will live up to all the hype.  Read more »
"I‘ll be feeling good by nine, after my third glass of wine." ---those are just some of the words from The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak‘s latest single. Co-star NeNe Leakes may have mocked Zolciak‘s singing efforts but that hasn‘t stopped her from pursuing a singing career. In fact, there‘s already some sort of buzz surrounding her single, which has been conveniently leaked online. Read more »
What would Kim look like as a black woman? Would you want to hear Kim sing again after hearing her struggle to carry a note in the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Perhaps tonight‘s episode will shed light on all that.  When we last saw The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe and Dwight spent some time in the salon while Lisa discussed a trip to Los Angeles to visit her mom. Kandi, on the other hand, met with her photographer and business team to discuss her new image and later, had her engagement photos taken with fiance AJ. Kim learned that her nanny left her girls home alone without supervision, and fitness guru Sheree attended a bodybuilding event.  Read more »
DeShawn Snow may not have created enough drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for being "too human for a circus show" but that doesn‘t mean she‘s leaving the reality TV circuit for good. At present, she‘s pitching in a new series called Second Chance, which is "kind of like Top Model meets Charm School.""We really want to give them a chance and the people we are looking for [on Second Chance] are people who have been given up on or they have given up on themselves, they had children at a young age or they were on drugs, whatever, because you can really turn your life around," Snow told OK! Magazine.  Read more »
Like some of you, I was taken aback when I first saw this photo. And my initial reaction came with a bunch of questions: Is that really Kim Zolciak from The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Why did she go topless? Is she holding her breast to prevent them from hitting the ground? Then a few minutes later, I thought yes this is really Kim, the 30-year-old mother of two who amazingly looks like a 20 something model, thanks to the wonders of airbrush.  Read more »
Sometimes it takes a tragedy to bring some people closer. Kim and Sheree may have fought like cats and dogs but that doesn‘t mean that reconciliation isn‘t in the cards for these Atlanta ladies. Catch them tonight at 10pm in an all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo.  Read more »
It‘s not often you see reality TV stars hit a nerve or two but last night‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta delivered an emotional punch with Kandi‘s tragic story. If you‘re a fan of this show, you‘re already aware that she‘s about to walk down the aisle with fiancé AJ. In fact, she was about to have her engagement party, which never happened because of a tragic accident involving Kandi‘s fiance‘s nephew and her cousins. Read more »
After last week‘s emotionally driven episode, I‘m looking forward to some laughs on tonight‘s The Real Housewives of Atlanta courtesy of NeNe Leakes. I think she‘s the funniest among the Atlanta Housewives. She makes her jokes most of the time on Kim Zolciak‘s expense, which makes her even more hilarious. But the comedy begins with Kim as she gets a little more serious about her wig line. She‘s determined to make some money out of it but decides to test the waters first by letting her friends try it out. And what better way to entice them than to throw a party. You can‘t be tardy for the party, right? OK so maybe it‘s a lame reference but Kim has thrown so many parties that it‘s already something you‘d expect on each episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. This time, however, the joke‘s on Kim as NeNe goes a little overboard.  Read more »
Watching an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta isn‘t complete without a squabble or two and last night‘s episode was no exception. If Sheree isn‘t yelling at her party planner, she‘s having shouting match with Kim in public. Now, she‘s put a dent on her friendship with Lisa. It‘s not as if it‘s entirely Sheree‘s fault. Well, technically it is because she missed Lisa‘s fashion show because she had to go to her son‘s recital ---a totally valid excuse in my book but she still should have told Lisa or any of the Atlanta Housewives that she won‘t be able to make it. And now Lisa‘s all upset because she thinks that Sheree missed her fashion show on purpose. Read more »
I wonder what made Kim think she‘s ready to jump back into the music circuit after her futile attempts to become a country singer. Or better yet, what convinced Kandi to push Kim to pursue a singing career? Did Kandi not see the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? Hopefully, we find out some of the answers to these questions in tonight‘s episode called "Scrambled Egos," which sort of serves as a "backtrack" to what led Kim to release her debut single "Tardy for the Party," which is now out on iTunes.   Read more »
It‘s hard to focus on the other girls of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, no matter how much you want to, whenever Kim is around. Even though there are (rare) times she doesn‘t intend to be the center of attention, she ends up getting thrust into the spotlight, whether it‘s about her love life, her wigs, her catfights or her singing career. And the eighth episode of the second season is no exception. Read more »
After all the hype surrounding Kim‘s singing career, who would have thought that it will just end up in the gutter? For quite some time now, The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been focusing on the controversial blonde‘s single "Tardy for the Party" which co-star Kandi helped Kim Britney-ize. In last week‘s episode alone, we saw how Kandi helped Kim overcome her fear of singing after her futile attempts to pursue a country singing career in the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But it looks like there‘s more drama involved off-screen on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. RadarOnline.com has learned that Kim is being sued by her music producer, causing her to take her song "Tardy for the Party" off of iTunes on Monday afternoon. Read more »
Big Poppa‘s back! Well, sort of. We get to hear his name over and over again in tonight‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta called "Precious Pocketbook," of course courtesy of Kim. For the sake of those who haven‘t been following this Bravo docu-drama since the first season 1, Big Poppa is Kim‘s mystery man, who has funded her somewhat lavish lifestyle, buying her $14,000 in diamonds and a $60,000 Cadillac Escalade. They broke up in the last episode of season one.  Read more »
No, it‘s not one of those special reunion episodes. It‘s just your typical, run of the mill episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta where there‘s always someone throwing a party that gets almost ruined by someone who‘s yelling at someone else. Got that? It‘s pretty complicated at first sight but not if you‘re used to rowdy drama that is The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Read more »
Will NeNe and Kim patch things up? That‘s not likely to happen, at least not in tonight‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta called "Better Tardy Than Never." For now, NeNe‘s trying to distance herself even further from the ladies after her squabble with Kandi and Kim about being excluded in the song "Tardy for the Party." Read more »
The moment Kim Zolciak has been waiting for finally happened on last night‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. As usual, she takes center stage as she plans her big birthday party. She even decides to include Kandi in the celebration to thank her for all her help with "Tardy for the Party" and because their birthdays are close. Read more »
Just when I‘m about to report on Kandi Burruss‘ relationship with her fiance going downhill, another tragedy strikes The Real Housewives of Atlanta.  Ashley "A.J." Jewell, who was formerly engaged to Burruss, died from a head injury during a fight Friday night just outside The Body Tap Club where he worked, police confirmed to TV station WSBTV.Consequently, the Atlanta police arrested club employee Fredrick Richardson, who has been charged with voluntary manslaughter and is presently being held at Grady Detention in connection with the crime. Read more »
Kandi Burrus, Grammy-winning songwriter and star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has just released a statement regarding her finace, Ashley "A.J." Jewell, who died from a head injury during a fight Friday night just outside The Body Tap Club, where he was part owner. "I am devastated by the loss of A.J.," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star said in a statement. "His death comes on the heels of the death of my beloved Uncle Ralph and with both of them gone, my heart is heavy with grief." Read more »
If there are two things most fans can agree on last week‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it‘s that Kim is delusional for thinking that Big Poppa will actually marry her and that Kim is insensitive for blowing off Kandi‘s show. Basically, Kim sucks! But I must admit that part of why the show is entertaining is because there‘s always something to mock and poke fun at whenever Kim‘s around. And we see more of that craziness in tonight‘s episode called "High Heels & Record Deals." Read more »
Medical examiners still have yet to determine the real cause of Ashley "A.J." Jewell‘s death, the on-again off-again fiance of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss. So far, the only thing that has been reported is that he sustained head injuries and was beaten to death during a fight on October 2 just outside The Body Tap Club where he worked. But now new details have emerged, suggesting that Jewell, who was planning to purchase a portion of the club, may have initiated the brawl that caused him his life. Read more »
"It‘s not He by Dwight, it‘s She by Sheree, so I‘m the head diva in charge!" Sheree tells Dwight in "High Heels & Record Deals," the 11th episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s second season. From that line alone, you can tell that Sheree isn‘t the type who would take a backseat, especially when it comes to party planning or her new fashion line. And we see her step up as "head diva" when she puts together a promotional video for her fashion show even though Dwight doesn‘t think it‘s a good idea. Read more »
What happens when Kim and Sheree team up for some party planning fun? We find out tonight in the episode "Baby Momma & Daddy Drama." When we last saw The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Sheree was planning a party for her new fashion line, Kim continued to pursue her wig business, NeNe put together a painfully ridiculous event called "Heel the Soul," and Kandi signed a record deal with Leonard "L.B." Brooks of Capitol Records in Los Angeles. Read more »
Life is indeed short and it looks like the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are taking that lesson to heart in "Baby Momma & Daddy Drama," the 12th episode of Bravo docu-drama‘s second season. In a way, this episode is all about reconciliation and putting the past behind so the ladies could move on with their lives or maybe move on to new drama.  Read more »
Some fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have been wondering why A.J. Jewell, former fiance of Kandi Burruss, was still included in some of the episodes of the Bravo-docu series even after his death on October 2. The show hasn‘t exactly portrayed A.J. in a positive light and it doesn‘t help that Kandi‘s mother, Joyce, has continuously criticized A.J. in front of millions of viewers. But Bravo‘s Andy Cohen explains there‘s a reason for not deleting the scenes involving the deceased A.J.   Read more »
Kandi Burriss, the newest member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is keeping herself busy these days in the wake of the death of her former fiance A.J. Jewell. The multi-platinum selling artist and Grammy-Award winning songwriter is set to release the Kandi Koated Entertainment Presents The Fly Above EP digitally on October 29. If you‘ve been following The Real Housewives of Atlanta, then you‘ve already heard "Fly Above" in one of the episodes featuring Kandi performing on stage. And according to Kandi, the song is "an anthem that will inspire anyone who is dealing with issues to ‘fly above‘ the drama." Read more »
Frederick Richardson, the suspect accused of beating A.J. Jewell‘s to death was freed from jail Tuesday after posting a $10,000 bond.  The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Richardson walked out of the Fulton County Jail around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to his attorney Dennis Scheib. Richardson was then at the Fulton County Courthouse four hours later for a bond hearing, which was canceled because he was already free. Read more »
Tonight marks the final episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s second season before we feast our eyes on the much awaited reunion special. Yes, another season is coming to a close but the drama and cat fights are still far from over. And this time, no amount of wine can undo the damage. For several episodes now, NeNe has been trying to patch things up with Kim (NeNe even talked to her after Kim criticized her husband, worked with her in the alter ego photo shoot, tried to mend Kim‘srelationship with the other Atlanta Housewives and introduced Kim to Kandi) but all Kim does is stab NeNe in the back! Read more »
It‘s hard to determine who‘s telling the truth between NeNe and Kim. Both have convincing arguments though both are not exactly credible sources. And while NeNe has a never ending can of worms to use against Kim, Kim always has her equally crazy bag of retorts to throw back at NeNe. It‘s all very confusing to say the least and we get a "sort of" final glimpse to their never-ending drama in the second season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. On the other hand, knowing who‘s telling the truth or who started the feud between NeNe and Kim is useless at this point because neither one of them is willing to apologize. Instead, viewers are treated with some trash-talking fun at its finest. Read more »
Defense attorney Dennis Scheib is optimistic more than ever that charges will be dropped against his client, Frederick Richardson, the suspect accused of beating A.J. Jewell‘s to death on October 2 outside an Atlanta nightclub, now that the Fulton County medical examiner has shed new light on Jewell‘s death.   Read more »
The Real Housewives of Atlanta isn‘t officially over until we‘ve seen the highly anticipated reunion special that will hopefully tie all the loose ends and answer all our questions from the latest season. As expected, Bravo‘s Andy Cohen will try to review the highlights of season 2 while addressing several controversial issues between our favorite Atlanta ladies.  Read more »
As BuddyTV mentioned previously, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is trying to keep herself busy these days in the wake of the death of her former fiance AJ Jewell. And one of the things on her list is her clothing boutique called TAGS, which recently opened for business in Smyrna‘s West Village."I‘m still in shock," said Burruss, who has already received supportive letters from fans. "I like to keep busy with stuff like this." Read more »
Not everyone can really go from flaming hot rage to conveniently calm and collected but that‘s just the kind of thing you can expect on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. There are no rowdy catfights or hair-pulling moments in the first part of the season 2 reunion special, which is a refreshing break from the usual Housewives reunion drama. However, these Atlanta ladies have left Bravo‘s Andy Cohen with (too much) information for us to mock and poke fun at.  Read more »
The Real Housewives of Orange County returns tomorrow night for its fifth season, proving that the ones who started the whole housewives reality TV trend have stood the test of time. This season, we reunite with some old timers consisting of Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi and Lynne Curtin, and meet newcomer Alexis Bellino. If you‘re no stranger to The Real Housewives of Orange County, then you‘re already accustomed to the California lifestyle and steamy suburban drama that subsist amidst the backdrop of changing economic times. Otherwise, here‘s what you need to know about these sun-loving girls of Southern California and the new season.  Read more »
Kim, NeNe, Lisa, Sheree and Kandi are back for round two of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special. And while no major table-flipping drama is expected to commence, we can expect that no topic is off the table when Bravo‘s Andy Cohen questions these ladies for the last time this season. Read more »
After witnessing all the squabbles on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, you kind of wish that these ladies would just call a truce so they can get a long once and for all. It‘s nearly impossible though because for one thing, it‘s a TV show and there‘s just too much beef going on between NeNe and Kim. And in the end, all you really want to see are the crazy catfights that got you hooked in the first place.Unfortunately, that wish sort of came true in The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 2 reunion show. It‘s weird because if you‘ve seen the first season‘s reunion special, much less the other housewives franchise‘s reunion episodes, you were probably expecting a show that would match, if not exceed, past seasons. Sure it‘s a refreshing change from all that table-flipping drama but considering how things ended between NeNe and Kim in the finale, this was surely a huge letdown.  Read more »

Bethenny Frankel, the no-nonsense housewife on The Real Housewives of New York City, starring on her own series? We all know that‘s bound to happen some time soon. But the fact that she‘s shining in her own spin-off hasn‘t really generated much buzz these days considering she‘s still bickering with the other housewives, specifically Jill, on the third season of the docu-drama that catapulted her to fame. But with the Bravo‘s announcement of the title and the premiere date of Bethenny‘s new gig, everything‘s pretty much official now.  Read more »
There‘s always something to talk about in the social circles of the Real Housewives, whether it‘s in Atlanta, New York, New Jersey, Beverly Hills or D.C., and this week‘s round of gossip proves that the rumor mill will never stop churning as long as women like Kim Zolciak, LuAnn de Lesseps and Danielle Staub are around. Read more »
We just saw The Real Housewives of New Jersey visit Italy, but that was just for two episodes. For years now, the Real Housewives franchise has been as American as baseball, apple pie, and over-indulgence. But according to MovieLine.com, Bravo has plans to expand the franchise overseas.Ladies and Gentlemen, brace yourselves for The Real Housewives of Athens, which is set to debut this fall. According to The New York Post, "this version will follow affluent Greek ladies as they bustle about the cradle of democracy."  Call me stupid but I‘m a little confused about how this is going to work. Granted, you can barely understand some of the Housewives when they‘re adding words to our dictionary, but will the Real Housewives of Athens be speaking Greek with subtitles? Do they even speak Greek anymore? Or are they wealthy American ladies who have moved to Greece? Read more »
Have you laughed today? I mean, like disturbed-your-coworkers laughed today? No? Then this little gem is just for you. The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kim Zolciak -- yes, that‘s Kim "Tardy for the Party" Zolciak -- is dropping her new single Oct. 5, the day after the ‘wives season 3 premiere. This little ditty is called "Google Me" and includes such profound, eloquent turns of phrase like:"Research me, you‘ll find me, click them keys and google me!"  Read more »
How about some of today‘s TV news in 300 words? The Office May Get a HeroHeroes‘ alum Jack Coleman, who played Noah Bennet on the NBC series, is in talks to guest star on an upcoming episode of The Office. If he takes the role, Coleman (who just shot an upcoming episode of The Mentalist) will play a wholesome government agent. What in the world is a government agent doing on The Office? I wonder if a government agent‘s presence has anything to do with the malfunctioning Sabre printers? Or, perhaps it has to do with Michael Scott‘s exit? The suspense is killing me! Reunited and It Feels So GoodThey‘re back, they‘re back! The Real Housewives of Atlanta have returned for season 3 with two new Housewives and plenty of drama. Atlanta has good news for us and for the acting world: Sheree wants to pursue an acting career. YES! Her acting coach, who borrowed her wardrobe from the set of Lizzy McGuire, takes herself very seriously. Especially for a woman teaching an acting class in Sheree‘s house. Even more delightfully, NeNe brings over an issue of Us Weekly divulging that Kim is now bisexual. Crazily, NeNe is willing to pursue a friendship with Kim again. Kim stops by NeNe‘s house, having forgiven her. Kim looks like she‘s worried NeNe might murder her. So, obviously now that Kim is into a woman named Tracy, she‘s not with Big Poppa anymore, nor is she still "chasing dick." She‘s still wearing that ring, though! NeNe has since become the breadwinner of the household, as the economy hit Greg‘s real estate job pretty hard. Supposedly, Greg called Dwight to borrow $10,000 and NeNe didn‘t know about it. NeNe tells Kim, "you know Dwight has a fake nose." Interesting, because you look ... different, NeNe. But Kim and NeNe are friends now. I hope it lasts. Read more »
The premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta started things off with a bang, or rather a soft slap and a "watch yo hands." But we‘re just getting started, and there‘s so much I‘m looking forward to. How will the friendships develop and fall apart? What about the relationships and the marriages? What different wigs will Kim wear? Here are just a few of the things I‘m looking forward to this season:Sheree‘s Acting Career. Did you just crap yourself when you saw her at-home acting class? I did (figuratively). Who are these people?! Where did Sheree find this acting coach? What happened to She by Sheree?!Seriously, who are these people and how soon can we see them again? Read more »
Right away I knew this episode was going to be good because in the first few seconds, Bravo gave us a shot of a squirrel eating a cookie and added sound effects! Don‘t think the little things go unnoticed, Bravo sound editors! Then, right after the squirrel eating, we meet Sweetie, Kim‘s new assistant, who is taking Kim for a run because she is a big pop star now. Or rather, she‘s "the ‘Tardy for the Party‘ girl." The run ends as Sweetie and Kim finagle free beer from a Coors delivery guy.Celebrating another successful workout.Kandi is actually back in the recording studio, not jogging in a silver tank top. Speaking of Kim, Kandi talks to Ne-Yo about how "anybody can ‘sing.‘" Kim needs the auto-tune and Kandi deserves some money! Lawrence, the new Stunt Queen in town, is visiting Sheree to do her hair for a blind date. This guy wants to take her dancing, which Sheree does not do. Speaking of Sheree, even though you guys rushed to the defense of her new acting coach, Kristen Shaw (who is totally credible), I‘m not convinced that Sheree will end up with an Academy Award at the end of this season. Read more »
Sometimes I watch an episode of The Real Housewives and I don‘t relate to any of it (I have a feeling that will happen a lot with the upcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). But the Real Housewives of Atlanta know how to keep it real and fabulous. They are the Real Housewives after all! Here are some of the ways they‘re real people just like us.Kim hates running just like us!In Kim‘s delicate words: "f*** that, running!" So maybe people don‘t recognize us on the streets and maybe we don‘t wear silver running ensembles and maybe we don‘t finish the run early with a beer, but we‘re all joined together by our universal loathing of exercise. Read more »
In literature, the "tragic flaw" is a trait in a character that will ultimately lead to his or her downfall. But nobody reads books anymore, so we‘ll apply the concept of the tragic flaw to the Real Housewives of Atlanta. "Phaedra and Apollo" sounds like a Greek tragedy anyway. We‘ll start with Kim, because her tragic flaw is obvious.Kim‘s Tragic Flaw: she is a legend in her own mind. This episode was a perfect example of Kim thinking she was a way bigger deal than she is, and not understanding "Tardy for the Party" for its pure camp value. As she pushes the people who helped her rise to the top away, it will lead to her ultimate downfall: "Google Me." Just for fun, here‘s her full performance from the White Party:  Read more »
Kim‘s moment has arrived; she‘s performing at the White Party in Palm Springs. In her mind, she has officially "made it." So Kim and Sweetie pack enough clothes and shoes for a year, rent a yellow Lamborghini, and drive it to the dankiest rest stop(ish) in America. Kandi waits for Kim in Palm Springs and is not impressed with Kim when she rolls up with an entire limo for her luggage. Who wants to shatter Kim‘s delusions, though? So Kim wants Kandi to walk out halfway through the song and sing (maybe actually sing instead of "sing" like Kim will be doing). Kandi agrees because it‘s hard to say no to crazy.  Read more »
Today is apparently International Caps Lock Day on the Internet, and the BuddyTV writers aren‘t just celebrating: We‘re cele-berating, by using our caps lock key to virtually yell at the people on TV who piss us off. They may be kind of hard to read, but isn‘t that the point? It‘s clear these characters are in need of some serious tough love. Read them, then try your own!  Read more »
Right off the bat, NeNe sees a plastic surgeon (yay! I love it when the Housewives are open about their plastic surgery and we get to see it). She wants to get a breast reduction; what would Kim think!? NeNe also wants her doctor to take the "pooch" out. But it‘s another step toward NeNe getting her happy back, so it‘s happening. Finally, NeNe wants to get her nose "touched up a little bit on each side." She doesn‘t want to look like Dwight or anything, but she‘s starting to order a Happy Meal of plastic surgery a la Heidi Montag.Mr. and Mrs. Google MeNow it‘s time to meet Kim‘s parents, who Kim doesn‘t look like anymore. It is hard to get over Kim‘s dad‘s mustache. They enjoy wine (with ice cubes in it?) courtesy of Big Poppa, who Kim is back together with (whaaaa?). Her parents also agree that Kim needs to start going to church because she‘s wearing a bejeweled crucifix. Kim wants to get Ariana baptized but the church won‘t let her in because she doesn‘t go. Time to make a phone call to Big Poppa! Then Kim shows her parents the YouTube video of her at the White Party and, while endlessly proud, they decide now is the time to have a conversation about "fame over family." Because it‘s going THAT well. Read more »
Last night‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was not only funny but a little bit creepy. Phaedra‘s baby shower was outright creepy, but there were also a few details and moments that may have slipped into our subconscious, only to wake us up later in a cold sweat. Here are those moments:Kim‘s parents visit and Kim‘s father calls her "a very class individual." According to Father Zolciak, Kim sang a song in eighth grade and he almost cried. I want to cry when Kim sings, too. The creepiest moment of the whole visit, however, was when Kim played her performance for her parents on YouTube and her daughter Ariana was dancing to it.  Read more »
Kim and Sweetie arrive in their perception of "the middle of nowhere" for Kim to do a guest appearance on "Kandi Koated Nights," Kandi‘s webcast. Tonight KKN is talking about cheaters (and beef curtains. Yup). Are Kim and Sweetie drunk already? Remember how Kandi is trying out celibacy? It turns out it‘s a bet with her webcast friend Nikki. Anyway, KKN is talking to Kim about being in "a cheating relationship" and it looks like they didn‘t think she‘d get defensive about it. It‘s time for NeNe‘s Nose Reveal! She loves it, it looks great. Her boobs and stomach look good, too, and NeNe can have some wine. Overall, a success. Cynthia picks NeNe up and takes her home (to Cynthia‘s house) for a glass of wine. NeNe doesn‘t want to see Gregg because she‘s getting her happy back. NeNe has checked out of the doctor‘s office and her marriage, only intensifying Cynthia‘s fears about marriage. NeNe is thinking about divorce. Read more »
Last night‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta was one of the most sexy and scandalous we‘ve seen. Is sexy the right word? Maybe "sex-related"? Regardless, there was lingerie, sex talk, finger licking (or attempted finger licking), and also some heavy drama and a confrontation between Peter and NeNe. Here are the most scandalous moments from this week‘s episode!Cynthia and NeNe go bra shopping. This was probably the tamest part of the episode, only made slightly scandalous that NeNe was shopping for her post-plastic surgery body. Still, ladies in their underwear makes the list. Read more »
Tonight on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, all my dreams are coming true as Kandi wants to develop Lawrence (Sheree‘s hair stylist) as a musical artist. Yes, yes, yes. I was all ready to make fun of Lawrence as the next Kim Zolciak, but this boy‘s got some pipes! Kandi is ready to make him the RuPaul for the next generation. Okay! Isn‘t it kind of weird that Kandi‘s song for Lawrence is called "Closet Freak" just like Lisa Wu Hartwell‘s clothing line? And isn‘t it even weirder that upon the mention of her name, Kim showed up to work on "The Ring Didn‘t Mean a Thing"? It‘s dreck but it‘s so right.Lawrence is ready to work, Kim is ready to sit back and judge. I love Kandi, but "The Ring Didn‘t Mean a Thing" is quite the stretch. And didn‘t Kim want it to be a country song? I sure do. Kim is skeptical and a little afraid, which is exactly where Kandi wants her. Read more »
In case you or your DVR didn‘t catch it last night, The Real Housewives of Atlanta has moved to Sunday nights. This means we had to wait one less day to listen to Kim "sing" (I use the term lightly) "The Ring Didn‘t Mean a Thing." Also, in true weekend fashion, Kim kicked things off with a yard sale (parking lot sale?) outside of "Burgers Shakes Fries." The time slot move is exciting for other reasons, too, and here is why I‘m all about it:Southern SundaysSundays and the South go hand-in-hand, and it‘s a recipe for a great theme party. Plus, it‘s easier to get people together for a watching party on a Sunday than it is on Monday. I‘m thinking themed drinks, appetizers, and anything else to help you forget that Chick Fil-A is closed. Or just you in your sweatpants with a Betty Crocker Warm Delights. Whatever, it‘s your Sunday night! Read more »
In news that is too amazing to let slide, New Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice is teaching a seminar. The seminar is titled, "How to Have it All," with no follow-up (ie; "... and lose it all, too," or "... Or At Least Lie About Having it All,"). The class will be taught at the Learning Annex in midtown Manhattan on Jan 10, 2011 and women can participate for just $44.95 each. That‘s a small price to pay for "it all." The seminar advertises Teresa as, "a hero to modern women," and adds that, "Whether you want to get on a reality TV show, write a book, start and run a business, change careers, this inspiring evening with a woman who has 377,000 online followers will get you going in the right direction." [Radar Online]  REALLY? Does the seminar also include how to look completely dead in the eyes in photographs? Or proper table manners? Read more »
Sheree got a new car: an Aston Martin. She‘s going to do things for her now. So Sheree will be doing "Dancing Stars of Atlanta." Ohhhhhh yes. But I thought Sheree hated dancing? Maybe she just hates it as a date idea (why is she still dating Dr. Tiy-E?).Kim unveils her new "office," which is full of pictures of herself. If you have a problem with that, you can "eat sh*t and die." Why does Kim need an office? Not that it has a desk anyone would work at or anything. Kim also spent "close to $60,000" on Ariana‘s new room. Naturally Brielle is jealous because her room is pink and she‘s "over it." Brielle is pissed that she has 2,000 square feet all to herself or something. Gross. Read more »
Here‘s all the latest on The Real Housewives, and some of the not-so-Real Housewives.TLC Orders a Limited Run of Bama BellesMost notable for being a Real Housewives of Atlanta knockoff, Bama Belles is a docu-series that will air on TLC and follow the lives of five women in Alabama. Yes, that‘s what Bama means. The women range in age between 24 and 39 and the cast includes a radio personality/real estate developer, an ex-beauty queen, an Army reservist, and an internet entrepreneur. The fifth woman has an even less interesting job, apparently. Is ex-beauty queen a job?If what TLC has produced in the past is any indication, we‘ll stick with our Real Housewives and stay away from Bama Belles, thank you. Although last night‘s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta itself was not a disappointment, it was full of disappointment. Who‘s to blame? Let‘s review some things that didn‘t go over as planned.Sheree buys a new Aston Martin for herselfWho‘s Disappointed: Her kids. Maybe jealous is a better word. You know who‘s not disappointed, though? Sheree. She‘s doing stuff for herself and living out loud! We‘ll worry about finances later. Bonus disappointee: the guy who had to open Sheree‘s door for her at the Atlanta‘s Dancing Stars event. Read more »
Why is it that every series of The Real Housewives features at least one Housewife who makes stuff up like it‘s their job? More often than not, it stems from just the right combination of delusion and paranoia, and the other ‘wives call them out on it. Here‘s a look at our favorite Houselies:Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, Camille Grammer: what Kyle said.Camille accused Kyle of saying, "why would anyone be interested in you without Kelsey there?" and calling her "insecure." Both of these were taken out of context, even though we didn‘t see the first comment, it just doesn‘t seem likely. The newest addition to the Liars‘ Club has a lot to learn about the power of a good rant but she‘s got the accusation part down. So far, Camille is only guilty of hearing things incorrectly and then twisting them around to reveal her insecurities (but don‘t tell her that). But it‘s still early in the season and I have a feeling Camille has a lot of crazy to give. Read more »
Ah, Thanksgiving. The time of year when we gather together to stuff ourselves -- and a turkey -- silly and slip into tryptophan-induced comas with our pants unbuttoned. Oh yeah, and give thanks! It‘s all coming out tonight! Phaedra‘s going to the hospital to induce labor (and finally keep track of how many weeks along she is), and NeNe‘s going to bust this Dr. Tiy-E thing wide open. Also, you want your NeNe TV? You got it! And Lisa‘s in this episode! Plus we get the bonus segment of NeNe and Sheree riding go-karts. Wow, Phaedra really hasn‘t given this whole pregnancy/baby a second thought. It‘s weird how little she seems to care. She‘s a little worried about "maternal death," though. As long as it‘s still all about Phaedra! She and Apollo meet with Dr. Lue, the doctor Phaedra has trusted to think about the pregnancy for her. When Dr. Lue drops the truth bombs of motherhood on Phaedra, she doesn‘t seem to be interested.  Read more »
By now there‘s little need to "Google Me" (her), Kim Zolciak is all over the internet with her latest news: she‘s pregnant! Despite denying the pregnancy rumors on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen just hours before, Kim Zolciak took to her Twitter to announce that she and Atlanta Falcons defensive end Kroy Bierman are expecting their first child together. Of course it‘s their first, they have only been dating for 6 months, having met at Sheree‘s "Dancing Stars of Atlanta" event. That‘s right, we were there! (sort of)Now Kim‘s going to have another child for Brielle, 13, to be jealous of in addition to Ariana, 9. All this after that re-decorating incident! Kim tells Life & Style, "I was surprised! While it wasn‘t planned, God clearly has a bigger and better plan for us and we‘re excited." Zolciak and Bierman don‘t plan to marry while she‘s pregnant but she can see herself "marrying Kroy in the future." [TVGuide.com] Read more »
This week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe made her first play for television exposure outside RHOA. Now, with the announcement of Kim‘s pregnancy, Kim and her boyfriend Kroy are looking into a spin-off of their own. Would Bravo even dare to call it Kim Getting Married?? Or would Bravo even get it at all? Is an Atlanta Housewife and an Atlanta Falcon TOO MUCH STAR POWER?It appears that Kim and Kroy are shopping around their wedding/baby like it‘s the next Lost. But I thought Kim didn‘t want to get married while she was pregnant? Is this even about anything other than the opportunity for another TV show? [Radar Online]  Read more »
So much to be thankful for this week! I‘ll try to keep it as Bravo-related as possible, which shouldn‘t be too hard. But I would like to mention that Robyn‘s "Body Talk, Pt. 3" EP came out on the 22nd, and the first two season of Damages are on Instant and I‘m officially, completely, Ali-Larter-versus-Beyonce Obsessed. But here are the things on Bravo this week that I can‘t get over.Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseulos on Watch What Happens LiveI swear Andy Cohen has magical powers. He is capable of making me like almost everyone he has on his show (exceptions: the Salahis and Patti LaBelle who was just nuts. Also I like Kim Zolciak better on RHOA, but we‘ll get to that). I never thought much of/about Kelly and Mark before but now I like them! And look at what Kelly‘s wearing! Love it! Read more »
We all know that The Real Housewives of Atlanta is all about the women (the Housewives). This week, however, it seemed to be all about how the women reacted to things men did, or the men in their lives. Here are the Top 10 Men of Atlanta who stirred the pot.#10 Whoever is not doing KandiFor someone who claims celibacy, she sure is obsessed with sex! "Kandi Koated Nights" got a little insane this week with all the women talking about their "freak number." Do we even want to know Kandi‘s freak number? Or who will be the recipient of a sex-crazed explosion when the decides to give up celibacy? Read more »
"Kandi Koated Nights" is back! This time all the Housewives (minus Phaedra) are on and they‘re filming in Kandi‘s store, Tags. They are asked to give their "freak number" on a scale of one to ten, but the conversation derailed and got onto pee. Pee! And in case you were wondering, Kim is okay with anal. I have to go curl up and die now. Then Kandi brought out "Mr. Luscious" and I was resurrected and died again. I need a shower, to get clean, not a cold one. Let‘s all go boil our clothes. Read more »
Has television been reading my diary? How else would they know to combine two of my favorite scary things: The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Ghost Hunters? I‘m freaking out. I want to see the Housewives see some full-bodied apparitions! You know who‘s not excited? The real Ghost Hunters (TAPS). So TAPS, plus Kim, Nene, and Sheree, will be investigating the super-haunted Rhodes Hall.Apparently this was Sheree‘s doing ("some of the ladies from the Real Housewives have been asking to get in on an investigation") and she is totally into it. TAPS is "excited" that they are "not trained in any way shape or form" and Sheree is scared of bats and ghost pokes. Kim is wearing a tube top, lounge pants, and heels. Classic!  Read more »
The Real Housewives are taking over television, one cross-over at a time! I was so excited to see Atlanta Housewives on Ghost Hunters last night, even if they weren‘t there for very long and didn‘t see much. Next week, on The Fashion Show Ultimate Collection, the fashion houses will be designing clothes for the Real Housewives of New Jersey and the Real Housewives of Orange County. I‘m all about it! I love when we see the Housewives outside of their natural show habitat (showbitat? Let‘s just let this one go). In the past we‘ve seen the Real Housewives of Orange County (and their kids) on Shear Genius, and Kim Zolciak just made an appearance as a guest judge on Hair Battle Spectacular. Here are some shows I‘d like to see some Real Housewives cross into.  Read more »
So Kim, who fancies herself an older Lindsay Lohan, is not dating Kroy yet on our Real Housewives of Atlanta timeline, because she‘s still dipping her toe in the lady pond. Kim and Tracy, her Samantha Ronson, bonded over their love of music and undisputed musical talent. Kim tells Tracy that she doesn‘t want to go see Jan, the vocal coach, again because Jan is like, totally mean. Tracy offers to come to Atlanta for moral support.Yes! Sheree is acting again! I love it. Sheree sees her acting coach, who is going ot find Sheree a play to be in. They‘ve found Sheree a local play (community theater) called, "Child-Support Man," and Sheree is not at all thrilled. She‘s too sassy for this crap! She can‘t believe that she won‘t get paid, and that she would have to give up her time for a two-week run. Sometimes I think Sheree just has a deck of profession flashcards that she flips through and just points to a card and says, "this one!"Sheree‘s acting coach also found her an agent, which Sheree should be more excited about. Read more »
I loved this week‘s episode, and while it was not a piece of crap itself, there was a lot of crap in that episode. One of the pieces of crap is literal, but they all stunk. Here are the biggest dumps of the week:Peter‘s Attitude Toward Cynthia‘s Friendship with NeNePeter was acting like a real turd. An insensitive turd. Can‘t he see that NeNe is going through some crap of her own and needs a friend? I don‘t like the way he micro-manages Cynthia and she just deals with it. It‘s crap!Nausea level: 2 Read more »

This has been such a fun week for Bravo! Also, if anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas (because only my family reads this?), I made everyone a comprehensive Bravo-lebrity book and gift guide. I‘d take some Andy Cohen Watch What Happens Live shot glasses, as well! Anyway, this week was pretty strange on Bravo, too. Here are my favorite weird things that happened:Kim Richards gives her daughter advice on how to be picky at a restaurant on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It was a really brief moment in the show, but Kim told her daughter she should send stuff back if it doesn‘t meet her standards. Her daughter protested, saying she felt bad for the people who made the food, but Kim said that the restaurant wouldn‘t want her to be unhappy. Really? Because I‘m pretty sure people in restaurants just want you to leave. Go ahead, take your business elsewhere!  Read more »
Sheree goes to have her hair done by Lawrence and I kind of wish there was a show all about Lawrence. Stunt Queen! As Sheree is getting big, sexy Diana Ross hair, The People Store talent agency calls and says they want Sheree. Because her audition for them was THAT good and THAT natural. And she‘s THAT famous because of Real Housewives. But Sheree‘s going to do "Child Support Man." Everything‘s coming up Sheree!Kim is going to the studio to work on a routine for "The Ring Didn‘t Mean a Thing" to open for Kandi. Did you know that Kim has danced for 16 years? That she‘s a better dancer than she is a singer? Could you have guessed? Maybe she‘s struggling with the routine because it‘s more walking/pointing than it is dancing. She‘s fine with the choreography but at the end of the day "Kim‘s gonna do what Kim wants to do." Read more »
Last night on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia presented NeNe with a friendship contract, which she later tweeted was a joke. The contract rode the line between cute and creepy but in the end, it was a good idea. It got me thinking, maybe it‘s time to draft up a contract for our relationship with The Real Housewives of Atlanta. For The Real Housewives of Atlanta:Do you want to be my favorite show? (Circle one) YES / NO Read more »
Countdown to Kim and Kandi‘s promo tour! They‘ll be able to pull it off easily, especially with Kim‘s work ethic. Oh, sorry, I hallucinated. Kim is focused on all the wrong things, like having a bedazzled microphone. Kandi tries to give her feedback but Kim decides it‘s probably just because she‘s not dressed in concert attire. Her boobs are too secure.Sheree walks into a furniture store to buy her daughter, Tierra a sofa, but I have a feeling they‘ll leave with a lot more. Tierra can‘t help that she has expensive taste and is used to the finer things in life! As a surprise, Sheree is going to decorate Tierra‘s entire apartment. "If she doesn‘t like it ... oh well!"  Read more »
I‘m so glad that Bravo is still giving us new episodes while a lot of the other networks are just airing reruns (and Christmas-themed game shows, of course). To me, the biggest things this week were Phaedra and Apollo‘s appearance on Watch What Happens Live and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ "Dinner Party From Hell."What shocked me the most about Phaedra and Apollo was that they didn‘t seem as looney as I expected. Phaedra seemed very self-aware and able to laugh at herself, and Apollo was actually pretty funny. Here is the surprisingly sweet story of how they met:  Read more »
It‘s almost the New Year: The exciting time of change and new beginnings, yes. But in order to make that change happen, we also need to make it the time of honest self-assessment and (hopefully) absolution. And so I must come clean: Among these TV-themed bad habits, I have been guilty of at least five. OK, more like seven. Fine, nine. Screw it, I‘ve done ALL OF THEM. Nobody‘s perfect, and me, even less so. But I hope that laying them all out here will put us (talking at you, my fellow mistake-making TV fans out there) on the right track to a better relationship with our shows and screens going forward. It‘s important work, and that‘s why we do it.So here I come, New Year. Here are the TV habits I hope to kick in 2011:  Read more »
The Real Housewives of Atlanta are back! I really, honestly missed them over the holidays. And they‘re back with Kim and Kandi‘s bus tour! Glorious. I‘m learning new things from Phaedra every week. For example, now we know what a "Sip and See" baby-viewing party is. I googled it and it turns out Phaedra did not make it up! Remember how Kim and Phaedra kind of got into it? Well, they did, and Phaedra hasn‘t forgotten it. Naturally, Phaedra is citing jealousy as Kim‘s/everyone‘s primary motivation for gossiping about her. I do feel bad for Apollo, though, and baby Ayden; they probably didn‘t need to be dragged into things. Plus, after his appearance on Watch What Happens Live, I kind of like Apollo!  Read more »
The last time we saw our Atlanta Housewives, Kim and Kandi were embarking on their bus tour and Peter and Cynthia weren‘t getting along. Also, NeNe did her first television interview. Now we‘re back on the bus with Kim acting like a diva, asking to stop for a cigarette, then trying to light said cigarette off of a hot, non-stick pan. Sweetie and Kim are getting on Kandi‘s nerves. It must be the B12 talking. The Housewives have all been planning to meet up for a girls‘ weekend in Florida.  Read more »
Bravo knows drama, (screw you, TNT!) even when the cameras stop rolling. Here‘s what‘s happening in the Bravo universe lately.NeNe Leakes to Leave Real Housewives of Atlanta? Why not? She‘s going to be an even bigger star and an even more unstoppable force after Celebrity Apprentice! On Sunday‘s Watch What Happens Live when Andy Cohen asked NeNe about next season she responded, "I‘m not really interested in joining the next season. I‘m just not really interested right now."Is this for real? Do you think it is or is it just talk? NENE DON‘T GOOOO!!! [Zap2it]  Read more »
Oh good, another supersized episode, which means 15 extra minutes of yelling! The last time we saw the Atlanta Housewives, Kim and NeNe were fighting on the tour bus. And Kim said one of the Real Housewife buzz phrases, "get your finger out of my face." Everyone take a drink! The editing made it look like Kim, NeNe, and Kandi came off the bus straight after the argument, but we all know that‘s not true. Anyway, they got off the bus at this fancy house and there was a Velociraptor in the shrubbery behind them! Approve! Cynthia thought she was getting away from all the drama, but the drama came to Miami. Read more »
This week‘s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta was heavy with drama. It was almost exhausting. We all know what happened, so let‘s focus on something lighter, something fabulous: Miss Lawrence! Lawrence, Sheree‘s hairstylist and BFF, and emerging recording artist, brought a much-needed levity to the girls‘ weekend in Miami by doing impressions of all the Housewives.  Read more »
It‘s Miss Lawrence‘s non-WWHL debut, and the Real Housewives of Atlanta (minus Cynthia) are all there to witness it. Miss Lawrence knows how to put on a SHOW. Not that I even want to think about it longer than I have to, but NeNe and Kim still hate each other. Cynthia has no money, but the wedding is moving forward. It‘s moving forward with a cash bar (ohhhh nooooo.) Cynthia never imagined being broke, and I thought Real Housewives were supposed to be the opposite of broke. I don‘t need to watch a show about broke people, I can just live my life, y‘all! Cynthia asks her dad for money for the alcohol. Please, Cynthia‘s Dad, a cash bar is awful! He says no. The wedding is doomed.  Read more »
Okay, maybe that headline is a little extreme, but did anyone else see NeNe tweeting up a storm during the finale and Kim‘s baby shower on Watch What Happens Live? She flew off the handle and had some less-than-kind words for Kim. Here‘s what NeNe had to say during the episode (toward the end of it.) Read more »
We took a week off for the Superbowl, but the Atlanta Housewives are ready to reunite this Sunday on Bravo. Can Kim and NeNe ever be friends again? What about NeNe and Phaedra? I just want to know how Sheree‘s acting career is going and re-live her moments with "Dr." Tiy-E! In this first clip, NeNe explains her nickname for Phaedra, "Fake-tra" and provides her real age! But Phaedra is not buying it because Phaedra only believe what she wants. Read more »
How awesome is it that the Atlanta Housewives are reuniting in an aquarium?! Almost as awesome as Kandi‘s beautiful new hair. It‘s been such a long season! I love the beginning of a reunion show because everyone is subdued and just here to laugh and have a good time. Generally. Whether it was a small moment or a big explosion, here are my favorite moments from the RHOA Reunion show. NeNe Acting Cold and CalculatedNeNe was just oozing hatred for Kim, and a little at Phaedra. Cool it with the dramatics, NeNe! I want to still like you at the end of all this.  Read more »
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3 Reunion is finally concluding. Will NeNe still be cold and calculating? What‘s the deal with Phaedra‘s baby lies? Just how many rounds will Kim and NeNe go? Which Housewife is the most racist? Why is Kandi crying? All these questions answered and more in Part 2 of the Reunion! Here are the highlights.Let‘s Talk About Sex, Kandi Which Housewife has the highest "freak number"? Apparently, it‘s Phaedra! Phaedra‘s boobs look so weird in that dress. Kim and NeNe are both uncomfortable talking about sex, but NeNe is willing to talk about it if it‘s in a book about her life. OK. Read more »
The Real Housewives of Late Night are back for their second season on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and the premiere may be one of the most magnificent things I‘ve ever seen. You can tell Jimmy Fallon is a fan of the Real Housewives franchise. This episode is giving us a little New Jersey, a little New York. Anything look familiar?Enjoy Jimmy Fallon‘s homage to The Real Housewives: Read more »
The Real Housewives of Miami is tanking in the ratings. How badly? It‘s doing worse than The Real Housewives of DC. The premiere brought in only 1.21 million viewers, as opposed to DC‘s 1.6. It‘s not just the ratings, either, it seems like across the board viewers and critics agree that this series is just not doing it for them. So what gives? [Reality Tea]Personally, something bothers me about the series but I can‘t really put my finger on it. Is it that I don‘t relate to Miami, having never lived anywhere near Florida? Is it just that the timing is off? That no one feels like watching a TV show about Miami before spring has even hit? Maybe it‘s a revolt against bumping The Real Housewives of New York season 4 back. What is it? Read more »
Some shows are just best when you‘re getting your drink on, and the Real Housewives shows are no exception. I‘m not a sommelier, but I do know my Housewives, and here are my recommendations for drink pairings to go with each series. The Real Housewives of New York City: Pinot Grigio! Read more »
Did you watch the "Queen of Jordan" episode of 30 Rock? It‘s a must for Real Housewives fans, as the episode is filmed and edited as Queen of Jordan, Tracy Jordan‘s wife‘s series on Bravo. The episode was fun, even for those who aren‘t very familiar with the Housewives, but there were lots of hidden treats for those of us who have watched and enjoyed The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Beverly Hills, Atlanta, and New York City. The episode had electronic-cigarette-smoking psychics, table flipping, and a strip aerobics studio. Liz Lemon uses the infamous Caroline Manzo simile, "thick as thieves," and Angie Jordan is releasing a single ("My Single is Dropping"). Oh, and that strip aerobics studio belongs to "Randi" former Delaware call girl, who is a lot like Danielle, and the single release party is being planned by D‘Fwan, who is definitely Dwight. Have a look for yourself with this two-minute replay of the episode: Read more »
The Real Housewives are starting to remind me of the Full House theme song, except that instead of there being a heart or a hand to hold onto "everywhere you look," there‘s a lawsuit or a foreclosure. Remember when Danny Tanner crashed DJ‘s "makeout party"? Good times. Before we get to the "legal woes, etc." part of this post, let‘s just have a moment of silence for the amazing wax-like pregnancy photo of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Bierman. Read more »
Agreed, the point of reality TV competitions is to give the spotlight to a bunch of unknowns who are hoping to make it big in Hollywood. But they wouldn‘t really get anywhere without the guidance of professionals. We‘re dedicating this to the hosts and judges of reality television, who have given their support to dreamers all over the country. There‘s Big Brother‘s Julie Chen, the judging panel of America‘s Next Top Model, probably not Idol‘s Simon Cowell, and more.   Read more »
