Ryan Murphy loves talking about Glee on the off-season, but fans have to take everything he says with a grain of salt. In the past he‘s told us that there would only be one tribute episode in season 3 (there were three) and that he was going to cut down on big name guest stars (and then Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Whoopi Goldberg and more showed up).  Read more »
Most of the mentors for The Glee Project season 2 are Glee‘s biggest stars, from Lea Michele and Cory Monteith to Chris Colfer and Jane Lynch. But this week the kids will get to meet someone who knows exactly what they‘re going through.  Read more »
This week The Glee Project is all about dancing. Well, it‘s half about dancing. The other half is about Aylin making out with as many boys as she possibly can. And I don‘t mean a peck on the cheek, I‘m talking full-contact tonsil hockey. There‘s a fine, fine line between flirtatious and slutty, and she is teetering on it.  Read more »
How do you follow up a fun, dance party music video set to an LMFAO song on The Glee Project? By turning 180 degrees, of course.  Read more »
The third episode of season 2 of The Glee Project will bring one of Glee‘s biggest stars into the classroom. Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson, will serve as the guest mentor for "Vulnerability" week.  Read more »
In case you didn‘t know, bullying is an epidemic. And it‘s not good and you shouldn‘t do it. That‘s the message of "Vulnerability" week on The Glee Project, and my cynical heart is unable to process this message in any genuine way.  Read more »
The Glee Project is certainly following the bipolar sensibility of Glee this season. After this week‘s somber episode about bullying, next week is all about sex appeal. Guest mentor Naya Rivera shows up to give them all a lesson in being sexy while the music video is a heated mash-up of Maroon 5‘s "Moves Like Jagger" and Kelis‘ "Milkshake."  Read more »
In season 2 of The Glee Project, only one contestant will win the opportunity to have a recurring role on Glee season 4. Each week I‘ll pick one contestant (who I think has a decent chance of actually winning) and predict what kind of character or storyline they might have on Glee.  Read more »

It is Sexuality week on The Glee Project, and that means getting uncomfortably familiar with one another. Or in the case of Charlie and Aylin, it means maintaining the status quo, because it seems those two are trying and failing miserably to keep their romance a secret. Read more »

It‘s Adaptability Week on the Glee Project, which seems especially appropriate for me, since I‘m new to the show. But I did my homework, so let‘s give the final 10 competitors theirs!  Read more »
It‘s finally here, the dreaded/beloved slushie episode of The Glee Project! Yes, one thing the contestants look forward to with equal parts excitement and fear is the day they have ice cold slushies thrown in their faces.  Read more »

Bring on the slushies! That was the cry from The Glee Project contestants upon learning they‘d be pelted with the colorful crystalline liquid while wearing bathing suits in this week‘s music video. But it turns out the contestants weren‘t the only ones getting hit. Love also got slushied in the face as the ultimate Glee Project showmance is destroyed this week. Luckily it‘s not the fauxmance Nellie and Blake‘s characters seem to be having in the music videos, which continues to be the hottest and steamiest part of this whole show.  Read more »
Have you ever wondered what it would look like if Elvis were Asian or Madonna was a Turkish Muslim? Well today is your lucky day, because that‘s what‘s in the new music video for The Glee Project.  Read more »
Now that Charlie and Aylin have been broken up on The Glee Project, the show is in need of a new showmance. Well, how about a bromance instead? We open with Blake and Michael bro-ing out, talking about how it‘s hard to compete with your best friend. It doesn‘t matter, because I‘m pretty sure Blake is gonna win this whole thing, and this week he seems to return to his frontrunner status.  Read more »
Prepare for the most ambitious Glee Project music video ever. Next week is all about Tenacity, and it seems director Erik White was feeling particularly tenacious because the video is primarily done in a single take.  Read more »
The Glee Project is nearing the end of season 2 and things are getting harder than ever. This week‘s music video is a one-take obstacle course that is as hard as anything these kids will ever be asked to do in service of Glee. And the final decision is also the hardest one yet as Ryan Murphy loves everyone in the bottom three. With only ONE winner, these next few weeks are going to be impossibly painful.  Read more »
The theme for the next episode of The Glee Project is "Romanticality." Ignoring the fact that it‘s not a word, perhaps the theme should be "Kiss-ability," because romance means lots of making out.  Read more »
The Glee Project has only two weeks to go, and this week is another shocking bottom three with a very shocking result. Someone who has dominated the competition from day one, who has received positive feedback every single week, who has NEVER performed a solo for Ryan Murphy before this week, goes home.  Read more »
The Glee Project has reached the semifinals with the final five contestants, and this week it‘s time for something completely different. For "Actability" week, the music video is also a trailer for a fake movie called Perfect, so there‘s plenty of acting.  Read more »
"If you can‘t act, then you shouldn‘t be on Glee." Ali says those words at the start of this week‘s penultimate episode of The Glee Project. It‘s almost hard to believe it took them this long to realize that fact, but this episode is all about acting.  Read more »
